Easy. It’s Atlantis. Not only Americans would fail here, also ancient Greeks because they located Atlantis somewhere in the Aegean sea where an undersea quake sunk a couple of islands. Claiming Atlantis was lost and can’t be found, of course, is cheap. It takes the illuminated mind of a trained alchemist to see the truth behind the blindwork of the temple knights and the dark forces of the Vatican.

Each side (except maybe not the bottom) has small disconnected ‘islands’ so it wouldn’t be land-locked.
That split on the north east looks like a rather deep river. Makes me think volcanic. But most of the recent volcanic islands don’t have smaller islands like that around them. Puts me more in the mind of something around the Philippines. It could be something from a high resolution map showing more islands.
I rotated and flipped it every which way, fed it back through tineye and google images, nada. I guess is that it was a collection of islands merged together, or a fictional art piece.
