- Comment on In Praise of RSS and Controlled Feeds of Information 4 days ago:
Sadly, a lot of sites have started shuttering their RSS feeds and hiding content behind paywalls. I have to periodically clean my feed and remove dead links.Luckily, there are a lot of sites that basically copy AP and Reuters news verbatim.

Man I need to watch this movie again. A lot of gag dubs only work on short clips but this full feature film is funny as shit from start to finish.
- Comment on Amazon is making it impossible to remove the DRM from Kindle Books 1 week ago:
Kindles are pretty decent ereaders if you don’t connect them to amazon’s ecosystem and just keep them in airplane mode. And unlike phones, they can hold a charge after a few years.

I have an ereader and I’ve never bought an ebook. The fact that they’re priced the same as paperbacks is absurd.

Is taking notes by hand really that exceptional? When I went to college ages ago I only typed essays on a desktop computer, studying was done with textbook + lecture notes, maaybe with a handful of online resources.

I think Thiel is is exempt from the position of the Antichrist simply because he has zero charisma and likeability. Also, he needs to take less of whatever substance he’s taking. In every interview he looks like he’s barely restraining himself from tearing his own face off.

- Comment on Samsung brings ads to US fridges 2 weeks ago:
The computer manufactuers knew what they were doing. Although, 8-bit computers were cool typewriter replacements/spreadsheer machines if an adult wanted to use them.

I am toying with the idea of creating a PDA of sort from a raspberry pie, touchscreen and a powerbank. Case can be 3d printed, it would be bulky af and equipped with Tails or some other secure OS.
