Now I want to see this cross referenced to a population map and overlay major cities and show us the population of each new state and what cities would be in each.

Sounds like open hunting season to me, but I’m not going to participate. I’m not so much worried about my own life, but I do believe in protecting others. However I need to be confronted with an active attempt to take a life before you’re going to wake the killer in me.

- Comment on No criminal charges over British woman shot in US 4 days ago:
Weren’t there travel warnings issued recently? Although this event doesn’t seem related to those concerns. In the US getting shot is kinda like getting struck by lightning - statistically very unlikely, but still happens all the time.

Vietnam hats aren’t trophies. They’re badges of survivors. They know they lost. They were fucked by our govt while they were there, they got their asses kicked and then came home to a population that didn’t see them as heroes like previous soldiers has experienced. Everything about that war was a shit show and it’s no surprise so many of those vets couldn’t transition back into civilian life.
- Comment on Why is the manosphere on the rise? UN Women sounds the alarm over online misogyny 1 week ago:
Ohio. Cincinnati, specifically. It’s not 100 to 0 women resources to men, it’s more like 55 to 5. There are some cold weather shelters for men, and places to eat, but mostly there are zero beds unless you’re willing to sign up for a drug testing program, and even then there are costs and limited spaces. There are quite a few women’s shelters in the area.

If a woman is going homeless there are resources. If it’s a man there’s almost nothing. I work serving the unhoused.

My wife runs a school kitchen, a big school, 2k+ high schoolers and almost 20 staff. Collecting debt is part of her job. They never withhold a basic meal (no extras if they have unpaid debt) but that meal gets added to their debt.
They don’t threaten anything legal like in this story, but they will not give you your diploma or transfer your credits if you haven’t paid your debt in full. We’re in Ohio.

Yeah I only learned it verbally hanging out with the Norwegian family of a friend of mine. I didn’t speak much but I learned to understand quite a bit just from hanging out at their house all the time. And that was in the late 80s. I think I did okay. 😎

Old nonprofit, old files, continuously maintained for about 30 years now. Tiny staff, not many resources to work on migrating the files. It’s just not a missional priority.

I’ve never used 365. I use a 2019 purchased version. I refuse to pay subscriptions. But my job has a lot of graphics that were created and are still updated in publisher. I’m sure I can find an alternative, but recreating hundreds of files will be terrible, and it will likely all fall on me. And that’s only like 5% of my job.
