My daughter played on my account while she was a minor and didn’t have her own rig. She got a gaming PC and her own steam account and is grown now, has her own copy of gtav.
But my account is tied to her email. Almost every time I want to play I have to call her. I’d just buy another copy on a steam sale but, “you already own this game”.

This goes for all of them, even that one you think is kinda a good person. They’re not. If they were, they wouldn’t be billionaires. Gates. Bezos. Musk. Murdoch. Swift. Soros. There are so many more, all faces of evil.

Commenting just so I’ll come back. Fuck every surveillance state. Hard. Repeatedly. The people need to say fuck off but too many fucking bootlickers out there, both left and right.
- Comment on There are people young enough to not even remember Pokémon Red/Blue who are old enough to be parents now 5 days ago:
I’m too old to have had a Gameboy as a kid, and didn’t buy one as an adult. My first Nintendo was the N64 I got in 1999. I was 27. I still have that and my wife’s NES from when she was a kid. I played NES a bit with friends in college when I was 17-19 yo but I’ve never even held a game boy in my hand.
- Comment on Are those of us who grew up on older games more attuned to latency? 5 days ago:
I played using a cell phone connected by USB with a 14k data connection. It was slow af but I got unlimited data for $5 a month and it didn’t tie up the land line.

Mostly the same. I had already been married for almost a decade when the N64 came out. I did play Pokemon Stadium and Pokemon Snap but I actually have no idea what red and blue are.

I had good friends who did that shit and I thought the same - not all junkies. But the last time I saw my friend Frank he was wearing an ankle monitor for armed robbery. That dude was in my house all the time. Yeah some things disappeared but I had lots of addict friends. Not many crackhead friends though.

I haven’t lived in Europe in 35 years and the only thing I miss is being able to take the train home at the end of a fun night. Yeah, that is the only thing I miss. I do miss it though.

My kids keep buying me Funko Pop bullshit. I’m no maga but I’d almost rather receive the hated red badge as a gift. At least there’s less plastic involved.

It’s not the crack enjoyment that bothers me, it’s the ripping out plumbing for scrap copper, the cutting out catalytic converters from the cars of people struggling to pay their bills, the nonstop theft of everything they see of any value.
I just hope they don’t value the belongings in my home more than they value their life because if I catch someone in my home I’m going to fear for my life more than I value theirs.

The really cheap stuff is NOT good. I still buy occasionally unfortunately. What brands have actual real vegetables packets? I have a great international market near me but they have like 600 kinds of ramen. I’d like to outsource filtering through them for the good ones.

I got spam and beatings as a kid. The ramen was when I moved out at 17. It got better by the time I was 20.
- Comment on It slaps tho 1 week ago:
I could get ramen for $0.11 each if I bought a pack. I lived on that for months. A hotdog without bread or condiments cost more. A hotdog was fucking luxury.
- Comment on YSK that you can save a lot of money in Colorado by using Bustang. It's a government-run bus service that offers great and frequent buses across the state 1 week ago:
I go to Colorado to boondock at 12k feet on federal land 45 minutes from the nearest tiny town. I can’t even fly in and rent a car, rentals aren’t making it where I like to go. The cities are the least interesting part of the state.

This was probably done intentionally to hide one exceptionally terrible incident. Always make your own recordings of your police interactions so you don’t have to hope your bodycam video request is actually fulfilled.

I’m 51 and this is 100% still me. And yeah, I was hospitalized because of small intestine inflammation pushing into my pancreas about a year ago. I’m still on the diet roulette though, food is just really expensive and cooking from scratch is hard to always do when you’re cooking for 5-6 people with different dietary requirements. I’m getting ready to do a week fast. Apparently extended fasting releases stem cells beginning to be significant at around 42 hrs, but there are more benefits when you get beyond 72 hrs. I love reading about science validating ancient practices.
- Comment on [Video] Cops not sure whether to arrest man with "Plasticine Action" shirt for supporting terrorism 1 week ago:
Supreme court precedent. If they suspect you’re committing a crime they can detain you while they investigate. If you give resistance to the detainment they can use force as long as it fits within their use of force policy and is reasonable with respect to the totality of circumstances. That’s the simple version.
