I was okay with keyword results. If you knew what you were dealing with in the search engine, you could usually find what you were looking for.

It been a downhill slope that just keeps getting steeper. They’re basically falling off a cliff right now, and their parachute is improving AI.

Then God said, “I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food.
It’s one of the reasons why I like edibles.

I don’t care about honking. I’ve seen two people on a bike near me in almost two decades and I’ve seen a dozen bikes staged on the roadside as memorials to people who have died. I’m not worried about honking, I’m worried about dying.

Yeah, I get paid 1/10th of that and I could do a lot better - and I used to - but I work for a nonprofit I care about. Greed is a hell of a drug.

The author should have quit long ago. Many employees are complicit.

I have lived in Europe and I know that can be a viable option for many people. But there are many places in the US where there are no real alternatives to a car. I have lived in my house for 18 years, bought at the beginning of 2007 before the market bubble popped and haven’t been able to afford to move since then. In 18 years I have seen exactly two people riding a bike near my home and I sometimes wonder if they’re still alive.

I’ve shrunk a bit but I can still get to 6’ with any good pair of shoes or boots. I’ve also figured out height doesn’t matter nearly as much as confidence. I have less of the former these days, but way more of the latter.

Im not sayTrump is 6’3*, he’s clearly not. I myself have shrunk over an inch and I’m younger than him by a generation. But people don’t always measure the same, or try to. I have a friend who is 6’1" who swears he’s 5’11". He never stands up straight. At my tallest I was 5’11 3/4" and you better believe I was giving my measurements all I could hoping I’d get to 6’. My guess is Trump once was 6’3", has shrunk to just a little over 6’, and Newsom is probably closer to 6’4". But without putting a measuring tape to them, what the hell do any of us know?

As someone who has done a bunch of phone repairs with the help of YouTube, assembly isn’t that hard. If they don’t want to assemble them here, it’s completely about profit margins. We should be taking steps to reduce that profit margin. Tax the rich and all that.

Yeah I do OS installs for other people all the time but my main PC is a hot mess and I run a bunch of problematic software including VR. I’ll probably end up setting up a dual boot of Win11 & Linux and avoid Windows as much as possible. But I will procrastinate because I already use both OS’s on other PCs so I know what to expect. I’ll put it off as long as possible, hoping they postpone. Never do today what you can put off til next year :)

To be fair, I remember writing a choose your own adventure text based game in basic, and the only way to save and reload what you had programmed was via audio cassette.

I’m in both of these pictures. But my house was the cheapest 1br I could find in a bad part of St. Louis around 1998. I’m in a different house now, still too small for my family, and neither my wife or I have been able to afford to go to the dentist in about 20 years.

I don’t know, I’m tired of double standards. If women can veear skin tight clothing, men should be able to have their cocks on display underneath thin stretchy material too. By this standard, boxers are modest.

Wild boar are invasive, violent and destructive. Our local conservation groups practically beg you to hunt them, and boar season is 51 weeks a year. If you’re going to hunt pig, you might as well eat it. But farm raised pigs definitely taste better.

- Comment on PC gamers spend 92% of their time on older games, oh and there are apparently 908 million of us now 5 weeks ago:
I’m playing Fallout 4 right now. It’s not the only game I play by any means. Too many new games are overly focused on graphics or monetization. I’m always trying new games and the better ones often don’t have the best graphics. We want 2010 gameplay. Hell, I’ll still play Unreal Tournament 1999 GOTY edition, but older games usually need resolution and texture upgrade mods. Fortunately a lot of great old games actually get them.

We took a huge hit in our coat of living when we fell off the benefit cliff. I know it’s lost credits rather than more taxes but it doesn’t really matter when you make more and struggle at least as much as before.
