  Sure, niche content is missing, but that’s because it’s niche, and comes with time and a larger group of people on here. Reddit didn’t start out with the niche content either.
  I haven’t noticed the toxicity myself, I’m sure it’s there, but I’m likely privileged not to have noticed it. Or perhaps I’m one of the toxic users, because I’m too leftist for some (though I’m no tankie)

  The word “zo” has a lot of different meanings. In this case it’s said at the end of a (difficult or long) task as filler word.

  Like “zo, dat is klaar” (that’s (finally) done now), or “zo en dan nu tv kijken” (and now (finally) time to watch tv)
  It doesn’t mean “so” in that case. It’s more similar to “hè hè” in that case. An expression of weariness and/or tiredness. And that’s why I translated it to “finally”. “Now this task is finished, I can finally relax with a beer”.

  That’s how I got permabanned on Twitter, before the musk set in.

  Frontex was trying to use pride month to boost their image, just weeks after footage came out of them pushing leaky migrant boats back into sea. They said something like “bullying is never the answer”, to which I responded “No, but pushing people back to drown at sea is, right?”
  That was apparently “hate speech”, and I got permabanned.

  Earlier this week a user posted “kill Nazis” and got a warning from Imgur saying that imgur is an inclusive platform, welcome to everyone. (which apparently includes Nazis?)
  That’s what kicked this off (again).

  There was already some upset feelings in the community because at the beginning of the week one of the “Elbow Deep In A” accounts got suspended over a “Gone Mild” drawing of a goblin girl. So it didn’t take much for the community to be really upset with “business daddy”

  The Uncanny Valley hit me in the face directly, when I opened the image. That tie pattern makes no sense, the ring on his finger is at least 4 sizes too small, and the image makes very little sense either, like what would this have looked like originally without the badly shopped in text if it hadn’t been AI slop.   That sounds like a great solution to my current frustration that the autobackup feature of Immich on iOS is so opaque. It only works when the app is open and even then oftentimes you’re just staring at the backup screen while seemingly nothing is happening, despite Immich’s backlog of thousands of photos still needing to be uploaded.
