For walking/running you need proper shoes.

I encourage UK’s government to sit on it and rotate. And Keir Starmer can go do one with rusty barbed wire.

The word “zo” has a lot of different meanings. In this case it’s said at the end of a (difficult or long) task as filler word.
Like “zo, dat is klaar” (that’s (finally) done now), or “zo en dan nu tv kijken” (and now (finally) time to watch tv)
It doesn’t mean “so” in that case. It’s more similar to “hè hè” in that case. An expression of weariness and/or tiredness. And that’s why I translated it to “finally”. “Now this task is finished, I can finally relax with a beer”.I hope this clears things up for you?
- Comment on Actual theft 1 week ago:
That’s the literal translation, yes.

Dutch beer brand Amstel had a long running commercial campaign that featured 3 friends enjoying their beer.
After that campaign ended, competitor Bavaria hired two of three actors and made a commercial with them that looked like them making an Amstel commercial but then ending with Bavaria’s tag line “Zo, nu eerst een Bavaria” (And now finally a Bavaria). - Comment on Sooo... I’m just thankful that the community isn’t one to make it a nazi bar, even if business daddy wants it to be.

That’s how I got permabanned on Twitter, before the musk set in.
Frontex was trying to use pride month to boost their image, just weeks after footage came out of them pushing leaky migrant boats back into sea. They said something like “bullying is never the answer”, to which I responded “No, but pushing people back to drown at sea is, right?”
That was apparently “hate speech”, and I got permabanned. - Comment on Sooo... This is happening on Imgur 1 week ago:
I don’t have the image downloaded, and Imgur’s mods removed it, so I doubt it.

Basically a drawing of a goblin girl in a bikini, and there’s a few accounts whose names start with “ElbowDeepInA…” (it started with “ElbowDeepInAHorse”)

Sadly the punch didn’t knock any sense in him as Bart Sibrel still believe space is fake, none of the moon landings happened and the earth is flat.

Earlier this week a user posted “kill Nazis” and got a warning from Imgur saying that imgur is an inclusive platform, welcome to everyone. (which apparently includes Nazis?)
That’s what kicked this off (again). There was already some upset feelings in the community because at the beginning of the week one of the “Elbow Deep In A” accounts got suspended over a “Gone Mild” drawing of a goblin girl. So it didn’t take much for the community to be really upset with “business daddy”

The Uncanny Valley hit me in the face directly, when I opened the image. That tie pattern makes no sense, the ring on his finger is at least 4 sizes too small, and the image makes very little sense either, like what would this have looked like originally without the badly shopped in text if it hadn’t been AI slop. Like what part of that sign is that dude on the left staring at? What is the other dude pointing out?

- Comment on Immich Is Now Stable! 4 weeks ago:
That sounds like a great solution to my current frustration that the autobackup feature of Immich on iOS is so opaque. It only works when the app is open and even then oftentimes you’re just staring at the backup screen while seemingly nothing is happening, despite Immich’s backlog of thousands of photos still needing to be uploaded.

- Comment on Elon Musk Had Grok Rewrite Wikipedia. It Calls Hitler “The Führer.” 4 weeks ago:
Wikipedia isn’t using the term to describe Hitler on that page though, it’s not saying “The Fuhrer was an Austrian-born German politician who was the dictator of Germany during the Nazi era”. That’s the difference.
- Comment on Elon Musk Had Grok Rewrite Wikipedia. It Calls Hitler “The Führer.” 4 weeks ago:
correct, just like how the swastika was originally not a hate symbol. But nowadays, Germans would not refer to anyone as “Führer”, unless they’re (neo)nazis.
- Comment on Elon Musk Had Grok Rewrite Wikipedia. It Calls Hitler “The Führer.” 4 weeks ago:
even edgelord vacuous nazis are just that: nazis. No matter the reason, or if it’s meant “ironically”, they’re a nazi. There’s no excusing it, or softening it, they’re a full blown nazi.
He did the nazi salute on stage, at least twice, he holds extreme right-wing and white supremacist views, he is a nazi.
