We simply cannot answer that. Nothing in our models can lead to omnipotence, so there is no way to theorize about it.
We would need someone to propose an explanation that we could test.

To have created the universe, God has to exist outside of / independently of it. Therefore probably not made of atoms.
Fun fact - according to most christian thinkers/speakers I’ve listend to, this makes Christianity incompatible with pantheism (the belief that God is the universe, often referred to as “we are the universe experiencing itself”).
According to the bible, God has created light, space, time, matter etc. This is a strong hint that he is not made from such things.
God was created by the Old Ones, silly.
The Bible also says God walked the earth like a regular man
your mom is made of atoms
God does not exist.
This being was created to give people something to hold on to and was also intended to oppress people and women.
That’s not what the question was about, but thank you for your perspective, fedora neckbeard redditor
Prefer open suse and arch based distros
As with most things, I assume religion was originally created with an intent to understand the world and to improve things for everyone. Ignorance reinforced the beliefs, and eventually someone figured out that they could use it as a tool to control people.
Religion is a series of documents that conveyed safety regulations and fictional stories about morality which were eventually misconstrued as divine guidance.
The implication that women are not people is fuckin nuts dude
Thanks for reporting, thinking in 1 language and writing in another language lead to errors ,I correct it
Clearly he would be made entirely out of Higgs-Bosons.
It was never meant to be called the god particle.
The Higgs boson is popularly known as the “the God Particle”. The name originated from Nobel Prize-winning physicist Leon Lederman’s book on the particle which he titled the “Goddamn Particle” – owing to frustration over how difficult it was to detect.
You take one part determinium, spin it causationally, add two parts euphorium (seasoned to taste), mix well in a negative space-time bowl, finally sprinkle with sarcasm spice. Boom. Done. Easy.
I’d rather doubt it. I tend to think of God as the original uncaused action.
But the most important thing is to have a healthy scepticism towards anyone who claims to have definitive knowledge of God.
God was created by the Old Ones, silly.
The religion book we studied at school literally argued that God exists because everything must have a creator.
Like… what? Then who created God?
I wouldn’t believe this comment if I hadn’t read that book with my own two eyes.
It’s made of unicorn farts
How many of those can dance on the head of a pin?
Not unless He becomes Incarnate, which He did. So Jesus is God and is made out of atoms, but God The Father isn’t made of atoms or any created thing.
Did you just assume gods gender?
God’s pronoun is 祂¹
God has no genders, and God is all genders simultaneously
(¹pronounced the same as 他 (he/she) and 她 (she), [tā], but used for diving beings only)
Glad to see someone else repeat this obscure fact about Chinese that I knew. It’s what I live for.
If i had to pretend to be religious id say dark matter/energy has the best chance so far
dark matter/energy
These are just holes (or errors) in our current physical formulas LOL
Literally “god of the gaps”
No, if we consider classical theism (Judaism, Christianity, Islam, not sure what else but It should be quite universal), then god has no physical properties such as mass or shape. No mass would mean no atoms.
So, would it be a phenomenon then? Like weather? Some say God is unchanging, so not the same as weather…
Except that one can’t have weather as a phenomenon without atoms.
It does have cock and balls though, and goes by he/his pronouns.
Judaism, Christianity, Islam, not sure what else but It should be quite universal), then god has no physical properties
Buddha and all the wooden gods in various jungles would like to have a word with you
You cannot compare God to anything physical; He doesn’t have atoms
Except of course Jesus who is God Incarnate, through Whom the world was made
Photons don’t have mass.
Yeah, so no atoms.
This seems to me like the same kind of question as the one about werewolves in space. If you’re going to make up some lore, make up whatever you want!
Of course not, that’s a property of our existence, of spacetime. God, the Creator, is necessarily outside of the universe, not subordinate or contained by it. This was already addressed and understood by many throughout history, like Levantine and Mediterranean philosophers, but the Romans made anthropomorphic deities and Roman Catholicism did the final heresy and straight up made a man a deity, lol, so the wisdom of the ancients was replaced by state propaganda and Western hedonistic nihilism. 🥲🤷
Bruh…
Fucking ridiculous and western centric as fuck to say Jesus was the first person labeled “god personified”…
Like, the current Japanese emperor is “believed” to be the descendant of a literal god. And that shit took off long before AD or Jesus. But it undoubtedly happened much earlier all over, we just don’t have evidence of pre-historic times, that’s literally why we call that period “before history”.
Doesn’t mean nothing happened, just that we don’t know what was happening, yet.
And the christians stole most of their lore from the Hindus and Buddhists anyway.
Well, they also committed the ultimate heresy as well, the difference is that one is still ongoing while the other ones are largely ridiculed and understood as nonsensical. 🤷
Oh wow, you must have evidence if you’re this confident that you’re correct and everyone else is wrong…
Conceive THE GOD and tell me how it’s inside and constrained to its own creation… Go ahead, do the work and post it here.
Bish please. Man made deity is the most common thread all major civilizations share.
It’s easy to worship men, most just choose to worship themselves from the lot. It also means nothing. 🤷
Christianity teaches Jesus is God. Not just Roman Catholicism. Jesus claimed to be God Himself. Jesus isn’t a separate deity, he is God (YHWH) incarnate.
My man, we will never agree because I am fundamentally a monotheist and your deity is a man. Act good deeds and I’ll act good deeds and maybe we’ll argue in the afterlife. 👋
Yes. All of them.
Divine entities could just be an energy, that would technically not be "made of atoms’.
Or it could be a process
Like fire
Or like consciousness
which are not really made of atoms, but a byproduct of atoms interacting
Isn’t that pantheism?
We simply have no idea. The laws of physics began when the universe began as far as we know. Nothing before need necessarily be party to any laws, compromised of matter or exist in time.
You'll first have to define "God".
What are the thoughts in our heads made of? I’d imagine any god to be made of much the same.
They are made up of electrical impulses. If god is the same then you need some kind of device to run god on.
No. More like fundamental particles or even just energy waves.
If god were real, and created the universe, I’d think that its existence would be described as something that just is. There is no start or end, no body to observe, nothing to communicate with. In the way that this supreme power would exist, there is no way for us to quantify it.
Maybe it’s excited oxygen molecules?
In the way that this supreme power would exist, there is no way for us to quantify it.
So, dark matter, then?
/jk
I believe they would be made out of something that we do not know if they were even of anything.
God is made of God. He just was, is, and is to come. He transcends all time and space.
I figure that God is the universe and it’s laws. An all knowing and all powerful being doesn’t require deliberation to act, would u derstand all permutations of their action, and isn’t limited in any way physically. A big bang would be one such way that could manifest.
Why even add the concept of a god then? Why add anything supernatural if you’re only talking about natural processes. It’s completely unnecessary, and impossible to prove or disprove
If you consider the universe as the body of said creator, then sure.

The great thing about your imagination is that anything can become true if you believe it.
