Does Switzerland not have burglars? I am smelling an opportunity to diversify my income a bit…
- Comment on Swiss Experiment Will Place Solar Panels Between Train Tracks 1 week ago:
Have no one considered that these would be lifted and shifted by the next weekend when they are installed? Like only reason that solar panels don’t get nicked from people’s houses is that in most cases you need scaffolding to gain access and someone might notice…

Is there any Linux friendly way to figure out which runtime belongs to which game? I tried some random script but it sort of failed to identify the games. I am kinda looking at something like executable path as then I am can least delete this stuff normally
- Comment on Valve dev details more on the work behind making Steam for Linux more stable 1 week ago:
So when you remove a non-steam game it also removes the runtime files? They are like 200-400mb each and I prefer to purchase games from places like GOG and others. But it’s easier to manage via steam.

I would love for a native way to manage runtime installs for both steam and non-steam games. My homedir has very little space left and I have no idea what random runtime environments I can delete… (Previously installed games no longer installed)
- Comment on Is it cheaper to use a plug-in oil radiator to eat an individual room, or run the central heater to heat an individual room and living room? 3 weeks ago:
I think by “plugin” op means electric rafiator filled with some special oil that dissipates heat. So it’s still electric just the heating element will heat and circulate oil.

I mean given that you get arrested for a showing a blank piece of paper and sent to prison/gulag… Do you really think that de-annonymised people would put their opinions forward?
But also in the west where we don’t have quite such a police state, we still do have many people who vote against their interests until their own interests are being affected…
Moral of the story… Humans suck

As much as i think Garage is a piece of human garbage that needs to have a date with a guillotine, throwing anything at anyone is a terrible idea. Its a milkshake now, but what if it was acid? What if the target is lacto intolerant and ends up consuming some? Or a nut allerge with a nut drink? These can be very severe.
While i agree that Garage sucks, throwing things at people shouldn’t be a solution.

Plex user here, you install app on your receiver (tv/tablet/phone/whatever) and if you so desire you can host local content. Not used it as a home screen though, as i avoid paid players.

Thats not a cop, but a “vote support officer” who help you vote for the right candidate even if you already have one in mind 😄😉
He saw that the lady clearly did not need support making a decision and went to get some coffee.
After all this is just a prime example of a far more efficient democracy in action. Why waste time voting individually? Its clearly faster to vote at the same time.

If you don’t want to be called there to always it support it, go for off the shelf solution. Both qnap and Synology offer the same. When i looked half a year ago, i saw Synology as being more expensive at the time so went with ts464 qnap.
Qnap do provide a roadmap of support for older devices. So you have an idea how long they will remain supported for.
