They were spiting Reddit, trying to destroy it as a community on purpose. Reddit only tried to stop it because they stood to lose money; not becsuse they gave a fuck about the users. That’s why they were pissed.

So… Just let the community die? That’s your suggestion? 😑

- Comment on Why don't people with resin printers use acetone/nail polish remover more often for cleaning their prints? 3 days ago:
It’s really easy to fuck up and have it melt more than you intended. And with resin prints, specifically, there’s not really much needing to be cleaned up like with FDM printing. I prefer to just sand them if there happens to be any burs or whatever.

I need to try it now in 2026. Got it when it came out, it ran like shit and kept crashing on the dock level.
- Comment on Classic dubs seemed so much better. Now most dubs seem unwatchable 1 week ago:
I am not just comparing the length of the words. I am talking about how subtitles tend to be very basic and just get the gist of the point across.
- Comment on Classic dubs seemed so much better. Now most dubs seem unwatchable 1 week ago:
Two things with subtitles I do not like:
-
I watch anime primarily for the animation and having to read tbe text on the bottom or top of the screen takes my eyes away from the action.
-
They usually condense the thought into a shorter sentence and you lose a lot of flavor in the dialogue.
The most egregious thing I have seen regarding item 2 was Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. It’s so bland and boring with the subtitles vs the english dubbing. And it annoys me that every streaming service that has the film, has the subbed version.
And another thing regarding the argument itself is that how would you know the Japanese acting is good unless you understand Japanese? Ironically, the Japanese ends up more hammy than the English, because that’s what Japanese theatre is all about: wild exaggeration.

Yes; I am aware. I am saying he can count past 3 when it comes to superyachts, so when are we getting 2 more sequels to The Ship?

He has 6 superyachts so clearly he can count past 3.

Yeah, actually 🤔. I heard the phrase “quantum magnetometry” not too long ago and it sounded made up as hell, along with the device using it and what it can do (it’s a heartbeat sensor that csn detect a heart beat several kilometers away).
Shit’s real.

Most competitive video games skill match players using a system based on ELO, which is basically just the number of games you have played vs the number you have won. But then they slightly tweak that to give a really bad player like 1 win outta every 10 games or so just to keep them from quitting.

I mean, yeah. But the game’s genre is still mostly FPS fare (as stated it’s pretty much L4D’s gameplay loop). Just think of it like shooting extremely close range guns that look like axes and hammers :p

Space Marine 2 and Vermintide 2 are pretty decent shooters. SM is kinda like Gears of War and Vermintide is essentially Left 4 Dead.
Er… Vermintide is just Warhammer, but not 40k. Basically the same but humans don’t have the tech; the rat people do.

- Comment on Most minimum wage studies have found little or no job loss (2024) 2 months ago:
With this, it really depends on if you’re looking at each state’s minimum wage or just the federal minimum. Like, 0% of people in California work for federal minimum wage, because the state’s minimum wage is higher. It still isn’t a livable wage in the state, though.

Frame Generation already exists. The real problem is input delay being massively increased when in use, even with latency lowering tech like Reflex.

Maybe something like a meat thermometer would work. Probe sits inside your butt and gives a warning beep when it detects poo instead of gas.
