I like how they claimed Fahrenheit made sense by relating it to a scale between 0 and 100 because a grade divided into 100 pieces (centigrade) is a system that is easy to handle. If only there was a unit of measurement that was already like that.

Yes because historically Native Americans have had success defending their land against violent imperialist invaders.

The problem is if you eliminate the lower class you also destroy the upper ones. Wait that’s not a problem. Never mind.
- Comment on At this point, what should we do about the ICE raids? If an ICE agent breaks in without a warrant or holds you at gunpoint, what do you do? 1 week ago:
Full Nazi takeover and not enough resistance although the ICE agent shooting Renee Good in the head three times has gotten some people to react.

- He’s well over 200lbs. His tits should be on either side of his belly button
- His face isn’t orange enough
- His hands don’t have enough IV marks and his face needs to droop more
I’d tell you to try again, but please don’t.

The Conservatives wanted to enthusiastically gargle Trump’s balls and move us closer to fascism.
I agree with the rest of your comment but this sentence stood out.
The Conservatives want to move us closer to Trump, but the Liberals are still moving us closer to fascism. Look at bills C-2 and C-12, which bring our border and immigration policies much more in line with the US.

I think thousands of mouse clicks, error messages and browsing history of tens of millions of hundreds of millions of people is a lot harder to use maliciously than people think.
I don’t care how hard it is to use. THEY SHOULDN’T HAVE IT IN THE FIRST PLACE.

It was never meant to be called the god particle.
The Higgs boson is popularly known as the “the God Particle”. The name originated from Nobel Prize-winning physicist Leon Lederman’s book on the particle which he titled the “Goddamn Particle” – owing to frustration over how difficult it was to detect.

- Comment on If God truly is ‘all-powerful’ and ‘omnipotent,’ then Jesus dying wasn’t the only way to ‘save us.’” 3 weeks ago:
Get what? What is there for people to get? Either god forgives humanity or he doesn’t. Why does he need to kill something, which was a human fad of the time, in order to forgive? I forgive people all the time and I don’t need to make any sacrifices for the other person to ‘get it’. We just move on with life.

So it matches the culture of the day.
Why would an omnipotent and omniscient being be influenced by the human culture of the day? Isn’t it more likely that the people of the time created stories that fit with the culture of their day?
