- Comment on What is the origin of aliens looking like humans? Why and when did it become the norm? 2 weeks ago:
Exactly. The thought that extra terrestrial life we’d come in contact with would be in the form of one life from piloting a spacecraft is, in and of itself, such a human concept.
- Comment on I have a good feeling about this one. 2 weeks ago:
Lol the cigarette…
- Comment on is feeling disrespected reason good enough to change jobs? 2 weeks ago:
I’m sure it varies by state, but in the US, you cannot collect unemployment if you quit, but you can if you were fired (and the company doesn’t decide to fight your claim).
That’s at least one reason people do it.
- Comment on is feeling disrespected reason good enough to change jobs? 2 weeks ago:
get fired without any backup employment. It will force you to get your shit together
Lol talk about bad advice.

Some people def quit jobs…

I just love picturing someone watching TV and seeing this and just having to take their phone out and photograph it.

Kind of wild that they were able to find Saddam literally hiding in a hole lol… these days they’d just bomb the area and proclaim him dead.

Oh shit this just got a lot more cyberpunk lol. Now I’m picturing Boston Dynamics robots being hacked by anti-fascist black hats…

If it comes to that, which hopefully it doesn’t, we should remember lessons from Vietnam and Iraq. The US Military might be massively overpowered, but it can still struggle against a well-organized insurgency.
- Comment on If media corporations worked together to convince you that a half decent politician is evil incarnate but the politician that helps corporations extort the people is good, what would it look like? 1 month ago:
Yeah dude, we know.

Lol Trump doesn’t pay his bills. He still owes several cities from campaign rallies he held in like 2015. He’s infamous for not paying his bills.
There is no chance that Trump paid for this.

Oh I’m sure he’ll have a nice well-done steak with ketchup every now and then.
(I died inside a little bit just typing that)

Because it’s a fucking Cybertruck lol… In nearly any other situation, I would say you’re right. Take the kid’s choice into consideration, but then maybe ask if they have a second favorite car.

It’s from Handmaid’s Tale. Great TV show based on an amazing book that is all too relevant.
If you haven’t read or seen it, you should. Like right now. Before January 20th at least.

The more things change, the more they stay the same. Republican president fucks everything up, democrat gets elected to fix it, fixes it but in doing so gets nothing they promised acomplished, voters blame democrats and swing right. Rinse and repeat.

Yup. We elected the black guy (twice), and people lost their fucking minds.

You know that they can just stop EVs from taking off, right? We elected an autocrat.

I wonder if Mike had to text his son when Trump brought the hookers out immediately after this photo was taken.

Under fascism, all corporations become an extension of the government. Those that refuse to are nationalized or eliminated.

He’s afraid of someone poisoning him.
I’m not joking. He probably should be too, he makes enemies of everyone he’s ever come in contact with. Including the people in this photo. He will use them until he has no more need for them, and then he will throw them under the bus, or ditch them, or now use one of the many arms of the federal government that will be at his whim to bury them. That’s what he does, he uses people and then disposes of them.

Wow, I can say with confidence that this is the first time I’ve ever wished for a plane to crash. Just one patriotic pilot is all it would take.
I really don’t like that these shitstains make me feel such vitriol…

- Comment on Half-Life 2 is currently 100% for its 20th anniversary 2 months ago:
Playing the original Half-Life is like a formative gaming memory for me… It had been such a massive leap from your DOOM 2s and Dukes Nukem. I was super young though, so I don’t know how much I cared about the narrative.
HL2, on the other hand… I remember having to use five CDs to install it because Steam had literally just been invented (for HL2). Having to create a Steam account and log into a service to play a game was so foreign at the time lol…
- Comment on Half-Life 2 is currently 100% for its 20th anniversary 2 months ago:
This might only be true for people who played the original when it first came out (or at least, were playing video games at that time, and are used to the dated graphics).
- Comment on Half-Life 2 is currently 100% for its 20th anniversary 2 months ago:
Also, to add to this: if you haven’t played Portal and Portal 2, then you need to do that now. Like possibly even before HL
- Comment on Half-Life 2 is currently 100% for its 20th anniversary 2 months ago:
If you’re gonna start with 1, I recommend playing Black Mesa as the updated graphics and qol stuff make it easier to tolerate in modern times.
But that’s just me. There is probably some crucial reason why Black Mesa is not the definitive version, and I’m about to hear why
- Comment on Half-Life 2 is currently 100% for its 20th anniversary 2 months ago:
Hmmm… I guess it has been over a decade. Maybe it’s time to play HL2 again.

Read somewhere that catching is actually dead simple, just “move towards the image of the incoming target”
I mean… there is nothing simple about the calculations involved in something like that lol

Pretty impressive, but I can’t help but think that they gave Ronaldo an extra split second than the first dude. Regardless.
Also, I think they’re underestimating/ignoring the input from hearing, especially with the second one where he probably heard the ball bounce hear his foot (subconsciously, of course).
Cool video, thanks.
