One of the most insidious things that has happened over the past few decades is this overarching narrative that the left and right are equally evil and two sides of the same coin. That they are in any way comparable.

I know… A while ago I was having a conversation with a Christian co-worker who was obviously working up to some kind of “witnessing” (as someone who grew up in an Evangelical Church, I know when it’s coming).
I told her that I know all about it, and I will never believe it. Before she could tell me I was angry at god, I told her that it isn’t possible and it wouldn’t make sense because it would be like “being mad at Santa Claus.”
I think she was seriously taken aback. Like it blew her mind haha

Ehhhh, I’ll blame both. I’m tired of seeing so much “I was just following orders” comments on this site.
You have control over what type of organization you work for.

Wayland is not up to the task
Curious about this one, as I haven’t had any issues with Wayland whatsoever, and have been using it for like two years on a few different distros…

Yeah I was going to say something similar… I’ve only been in Linux for maybe 2 years or so, but my experience interacting with people has been nothing but positive. Everyone is very helpful.

This isn’t good news for the crypto market. MAYBE in the short term.
But if you want it to actually grow, then you should want reasonable regulation.

You can

I could be wrong, but I believe most exchanges use ACH to directly deposit a person’s profits into their bank account.
I’m no expert, but I believe ACH is separate from your Visas and MasterCards

Monero is good for completely private and secure transactions. People often use it to buy drugs online… From what I’ve heard.

I truly could not care less what they claim their reasoning is. I’ve played the game. I know how it handles things like child abuse.
This is not a game that should even be included in any conversation about censorship. The idea is fucking absurd.

If it’s only available via appimage, as the reply to this comment states, then it will still run just fine on Arch.

Sounds like someone who uses Windows and is annoyed that anyone else uses anything other than Windows.
I dunno about anyone else, but that’s a giant red flag for me when it comes to software devs

Arch probably has more documentation online than any other distro.
Just check out the Arch wiki, it’s insane.
So yeah, if you’re used to looking up solutions online, Arch might actually be the best distro for you.

I’m immediately skeptical of developers who use Windows. At best, it makes me question their judgement.
- Comment on Gamers Bombard Visa & MasterCard With Emails and Calls Over Steam and itch.io Censorship 4 days ago:
Maybe they reversed it in that case after outrage… I’m basing it on the reporting:
polygon.com/…/itchio-steam-sex-adult-games-delist…
It’s also waged a campaign against titles like Detroit: Become Human, Quantic Dream’s adventure game that is decidedly not an “adult” game, and titles like hentai puzzle/dating sim Huniepop. The worry is that, by bucking to pressure from groups like Collective Shout, platforms like Steam pave the way for more extreme censorship measures.
So maybe it was a separate campaign regarding Detroit?
- Comment on And nothing of value was lost 4 days ago:
So we should just give up and become them, is what you’re saying.
If that was your takeaway, either you need to re-read my comment, or I do because that’s not at all what I meant to say.
