I have been paying attention for decades now and I’m not really surprised.
I went to an ivy league school… and lots and lots of my cohort were delusional morons who believed their own farts had magical powers.
Such a bullshit. No one (pregnant or not and especially an associate professor) would “gobble” bottle of Tylenol even before their claim. Overdosing on it is not pretty.
Also whenever there’s talk about Tylenol it reminds me of this:

Acetaminophen has a rather steep curve where it gets toxic. A standard tablet is 500mg. I sometimes take a double at 1000mg, yet the daily recommended max dose is 4000, only four times that, after which toxic effects start coming. That’s 8 tablets

I wonder if the composition of Tylenol is different than Dafalgan, which is the equivalent “known” brand here. 500mg is normal, 1g is strong. There’s a kids version though, would have to check what the box says.

A recommended dose is 1000mg, at least on every paracetamol pack I’ve ever seen.
Normally that’s 2 x 500mg pills so you can give kids a half dose of one pill.

When they say “Trump derangement syndrome” it always makes me think of the deranged shit that Trump does. Like trying to start wars with Iran and Venezuela and then practically demanding the Nobel peace prize.
It’s a legit thing though. I live in Boston. There are people here you meet occasionally who literally… talk about nothing about how awful Trump is and are totally obsessed with him to the point of alienating everyone around them.
It’s sort of like how Howard Stern used to get better ratings from people who hated him more than those that loved him. Some folks entire identity is now hating Trump.
Our species broadly is far more concerned with narratives and stories than reality. This is how our brains work on a very fundamental level.
People think their brains are tools for determining reason and logic, and I suppose with exercise and effort they can be, but it’s not what we’re designed for.
We have brains designed to tell stories to explain how you feel, or to feel things about stories supplied to you. That’s it. It doesn’t need to make sense or have logical consistency, the brain doesn’t give a shit about consistency or reason, it just wants to tie loose ends together to create a coherent narrative that you can use to survive.
See huge paw prints by your watering hole? Feel worried? Your brains writes the most likely story for how those prints got there and why you’re scared. In that situation the story-telling can save your life. In our modern, complex world we have the exact same brains structurally, but the clues and emotional signals are vastly more complicated and others supply us stories for why we feel those feelings, and brains soak that shit up like sponges.
We have no future until we start accepting the weaknesses and flaws in our own minds and can set up policy-level safeguards against ourselves, but I don’t see that happening since the people who should be managing these safeguards are as fallible as any of us.

I mean if someone is doing that it actually would be the rare example where I could say someone is trump deranged. All medication prescription and non prescription is about weighing the potential risks vs benefits. Taking normal dosage of Tylenol is mostly harmless, and the reason a blanket statement of “it’s no harm, just don’t take tylenol” is a horrific mischaracterization even IF the studies cited showed a clear and blatent causal relationship between Tylenol and potential issues, because it’s simply weighing risk of treatement vs nontreatment. IE fever and pain are also things likely to negatively impact a pregnancy as well as the health of a mother.
Taking any medicine while pregnant, when you do not currently have any condition it is treating is just stupid risk, and if you are taking more than the recomended dosage just to flex on an idiot, you are becoming an idiot yourself.
