- Comment on Should I unplug my smart tv from the internet? 1 day ago:
I have 4 tv’s , all dumb. One in the bedroom , one in the living room and two on ice. I’ve got a stack of dvd / blue ray players and a region free DVD player with a 3k+ dvd collection and an antenna I made myself. Fuck all that smart TV bullshit. I’ll fix them all if I have too, the info is all available on YT like you say and the parts are cheap.
I’ve had 4 or 5 opportunities to get free OLED (or what ever trash is out now) tv’s for free and I turn them all down. People that aren’t the least bit paranoid about all these connected devices bug me out. Facebook freaks and Amazombies

Wow that is freaky. It’s hard to say what goes on in other galaxies I’m sure there are worlds like that with all the given possibilities. I read an interesting brain candy type book called “Easy Journey to Other Planets” (it was by AC Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada so it may be a bit far fetched for some people, I try to keep an open mind personally 😄). It explains that we are not always reborn here and there are places that are beyond anything we can comprehend.
There was a period of time when I was interested in meditation and when I could let my mind go for brief periods I saw some very bizarre, unexplainable scenes unfold. None of them made any sense at all. It would be a glimpse of some way of life where the beings were machine like and the inspiration for 1950’s automobiles and kitchen ware, all avocado green and gold chrome 🤣(I don’t know any other way to explain).
It was a harsh and unfathomable world that looked nothing like anything we would recognize
Yes, I’m sure this current stage of human evolution would be beyond the understanding of a human from 25k years ago. It’s fun to think about sometimes.
Onward to utopia 🖖

I had a crazy dream about 8 years ago where I was born and lived a whole life into the future to an age of ~ 27 years old if I remember. It was pretty much just more of everything. All the new shit was slick as hell, old homes still were right wherethey were but new high rise buildings were hundreds of stories tall filled with technology we cant wrap our heads around currently ( no teleportation or anything like that). Poverty seemed to be non existent. Everyone was wealthy but not in a monetary sense ,it seemed like civilization moved beyond that , the ego was dead on a global scale. There was apparently some sort of “miracle” that happened when I was an infant so I wasn’t amazed by it; in the same way a child born today wouldn’t be amazed by a cell phone or computer.
Way less hardship everything was really chill (there was no war or even any reason to lie ). Entertainment was more in the form of symposiums/ live performances at various types of meeting places with interaction between the speakers and the public, they were an almost daily occurrence and a large part of every day life. They were everywhere from parks , amphitheaters, behind store fronts in ally ways etc. Lots of public transportation, full carbon bikes (or who knows what material but they were feather weight and cheap, everybody had one The porn was absolutely crazy.
It was clean utopian skylines and you didn’t need to wear a paper gown with your ass hanging out if you went to the hospital because there was no need for surgery.
Anyway it was just a dream I wish I never woke up from. Were probably going to get the ashes and smoke, some “Dinosauria We” shit

Of course not but some may do free workshops just because they feel it may help their community.
I don’t work for free either but if my neighbor needs a new alternator or cabinet door fixed I will help/ show them how to fix it.

Woah I haven’t thought about that since high school. I vaguely remember an inside joke between some dope smoking buddies and i where we would say call the police in that nervous voice

I used to have an issue with the movie in my teenage years where I thought people were being exploited. I watched it again on DVD and in the extras there was a short doc from the late 90’s ~ early 2k and while maybe it was propaganda my mind was changed a bit. It really was a wholesome comedy. There are a few jokes that may have adults laughing and fly over a young child’s head. I was always left with a positive view of the native actors and their culture. If anything it shows how a person should remain humble and do the right thing while not acting like the people from the world.

I too have enjoyed many ground scores over the years. Only once did i toss it. I think I found ~ a gram of some really shitty shake and bake meth. Not big on meth and it just looked foul. Just glad someone else didn’t pick it up.
One of the craziest was finding an 1/8th of fire coke on my birthday after having to work a double. I was so mad all day after realizing we were going to be stuck on a job to get a building back in service on my birthday. I pulled into a 7-11 to get a drink and when I opened the car door and looked down I could not believe my eyes. I looked around the parking lot , did a big yawn and stretch then bent down to tie my shoe expecting at any minute someone was going to say hey man that’s mine. Grabbed it, hoped back in the truck and slowly drove home.
The gods must be crazy!

I ditched most of my friends when twitter and facebook came out. They all got too twitchy and really boring to be around. They were becoming more and more self conscious and self absorbed. It’s some scary shit watching from a far

Always found it amazing how Vegas hits those spreads dead nuts across all the games every week.it is truly an amazing feat.
The last 10 years they toss a flag then “go to new york” for the call and sometimes they just pick the flag up and say “oh it was nothing, back to our regularly scheduled programming”

We tried our best but we couldn’t stop them and they outplayed us now we’re looking forward to next week and we’re not going to focus on this loss our defense just needs to make more stops and our offense needs to put more points on the board we’ve got such a great group of guys and this loss is going to make us work harder and we’ll see if we can’t get a win next week

I personally cant watch NFL after being a lifelong fan. Seems like the games are being manipulated. Seems a little glitchy with some weird calls being made these days. Became unwatchable for me but …Go Ravens !!!

I thought the exact same thing when i joined. Today while working on my project car I decided to take pictures and make a post sometime over the next few days when I’m done with the task. Hopefully someone sees it and starts discussion and adds content to one of the niche communities here that was actually one of my favorite non toxic subs on shitty ass reddit.
We get to build these communities and it’s kind of exciting 🤙
