I have always cold feet, no way hell I’ll keep my feet outside the blanket

I’m opposite entirely. My feet are so hot and I almost always sleep with them outside the covers.

Hey everybody, if this person ever invites you to a sleepover, say no, they’re a demon and they’re definitely going to eat your feet.

Hot feet team raise your hands I keep them out as a thermal regulator

I’ve noticed this when the nights get hot here - having my feet outside the blankets and in the path of the fan helps a great deal with not overheating.

It really helps I find. The warmer it is the more I expose. Generally something like

      • foot
      • feet
      • leg
      • arm over cover
      • more leg
      • back open to air
      • upper torso
      • entire torso
      • legs
      • nethers

    I was curious: thecut.com/…/sleep-hack-keep-one-foot-outside-you…

TL; DR: Our bodies cool down when sleeping, feet can help regulate temeprature, so we may be able to initiate sleep better/quicker using our feet to cool down.

There is no study in the article; it’s speculation by “Natalie Dautovitch, a spokesperson for the National Sleep Foundation and a psychology professor at the University of Alabama”.

I crawl into the cellar cave and jealously dream of your air conditioning.

I always keep at least a leg outside the covers, no matter how cold it is. I couldn’t bear to be completely covered, I get too hot. Under normal conditions I don’t use covers at all.

      As do I.

Also I will rub BBQ sauce onto the parts of my body that I keep uncovered. It helps with the heat transfer.

Carolina BBQ so that the monster will be disappointed and move on.

Ugh I love being absolutely loaded up with covers from toes to chin, but yes it can’t be on a hot summer’s day with no AC.

Love me a good cold winter’s night with the windows wide open and the floor fan blasting wind right into my face though.

I get the feeling our winters are not the same. This would kill me lol

I lift my legs and do a blanket fold so the foot fetish monster can’t mess with my feet.

I’ve recently become alright with sleeping without any covers at all. I’ve had issues with night sweating as a side effect of medication for several years and this summer has been so damn hot that I just gave up and tried sleeping nude without covers, and it’s really nice! Just the thought of this made me uncomfortable before trying it and it took a few nights before getting past the mental barrier but I’m glad I did it.

Might be a good hack for getting out of bed in the morning.

I gave up on all the pro-tips and just rip a sniff of smelling salts in the morning now. It’s not pleasant but it’s very effective
