Apple is infamous for their blatant planned obsolescence on their iPhones since the iPhone 6
They learned from it. The phone toggles itself when the battery health is at 80% max capacity, but this is toggleable. Also, the iPhone 11 still runs smooth.

This is something 18 year old me has done 14 years ago. Custom ROM Samsung Galaxy Note 3. Mini-USB-male to USB-A and Mini-USB-female. 4-Port USB-Dongle connected, on that mouse, keyboard, controller and storage device. It was able to read HDDs, CD/DVD and floppy.

I’ve played kingdom hearts last year for the first time ever. I played them all in order of release on the (emulated) console. This year I started them on PS5 remastered. Somehow playing it on the OG hardware was a better experience.

I have to give credit to Apple for the variable motion, ranging from 1 fps to 120 fps. Sadly, the 1fps is only ever used on the lock screen. So much wasted potential.

Emergency services - yes, but those used to be 3 three digit numbers. 122 fire fighters because the 2s form a hose, 133 the police because the 3s look like handcuffs and 144 the ambulance because the 4s look like seats.
Yes I did go out by myself but what was a reason to call my parents? Back then there were 8 houses, a soccer and asphalt field and some woods in my part of the village.
By 10 when I got the biking license I got an old phone as a hand-me-down, but that was the case of pretty much everyone.

My parents just mow the lawn every now and then and remove thorny plants when they find them. The garden is just wild flowers and weeds. Then they dig a little pond. Since then they have lots of bees and other insects, but no wasps. It’s nice and requires no maintenance whatsoever. If a plant dies, it dies. If it takes over, it takes over. In spring until summer their whole garden is full of daisys. A white garden. The dog loves it and ears the heads off then when he’s chilling.
