I played the whole game through with multiplayer between me and my partner. It might be better now, but at the time, all of the danger squids were completely inert, so it made it much easier to get deeper and progress further without fear.
Otherwise, it was a total blast and a great time. Excellent game.

Whoopsie! My reading comprehension is borked.
Bard plus martials is also a good party, but you’d be missing some things for sure. And if the martials get AOE’d or the bard gets attacked, things could go south very fast.
But it would be fun regardless:)

Buffs don’t stack is what’s stopping things. You can have a few bonuses, but you’ll only ever take the best of those types. So you can have an item bonus, a status bonus, and a circumstance bonus.
Item bonuses are pretty straightforward.
Status bonuses are typically from spells, so Guidance, Athletic Rush, etc.
Circumstance bonuses are a little harder to pin down because they can be finicky and decided by the GM. But it’s typically an environmental effect. Strong winds at your back give you a +2 circumstance bonus to Tumble Through maybe.
So say you have a striking rune, Guidance, and a circumstance bonus to give you more, that’s generally looking at +1+1+2. So that is very good, having a +4 to hit.
But honestly, Pathfinder is built for tactics like that and encourages them. Flanking, frightened, slowed, sickened, prone, off-guard, etc. All of the penalties you can stack on an enemy are there for a reason, and being able to take advantage of that tactically is all part of the game. Assuming you have a good GM.
So yeah, make a party of bard bard bard fighter and see where it gets you. I guarantee it’s not optimal, but it’d be fun.
- Comment on What do office workers actually do? 3 days ago:
I work with computers to map things.
Across my various jobs in this field, the days were usually varied but fairly busy.
I worked for a government agency that would map abandoned mines and locations of mishaps to better understand what kind of environmental issues were posed. This involved meetings with hydrologists, miners, drone pilots, and field workers. It also had some field visits, itself.
Another one, I worked for a city’s outreach program and I often was in meetings explaining what I could do, and then I’d have to gather maps and data to put together the product they wanted.
For another job, I had to cross reference a ton of city and county data to find land lots that were large enough for a developer to potentially purchase and then build housing on. This included looking at zoning laws and reading a ton of documentation about new zoning and votes for such a thing. Also included learning about what each category of zoning meant.
Currently I work for an energy company and it’s varied in a lot of ways. My day to day is never the same and is kind complicated to the average bear.
- Comment on 6* months away now. If you're on 10, do you plan to upgrade? Make the jump to Linux? 3 weeks ago:
I’m on Mint and have been for 2-3 years now and I’ve never had any problems with non-valve multiplayer. I don’t use any VMs and just run everything through proton and have never struggled.
Battlebit, Helldivers, Lethal Company (+mods), Risk of Rain 2, Rocket League, Minecraft, and Split Fiction to name a few. I guarantee there are others I’ve played, but I can’t remember.
- Comment on Satisfactory now has controller support, so there’s no excuse for your bad lines 3 weeks ago:
Honestly even in Kingdom Hearts 1, there was an L1 menu for spells behind the other menus.
As a FFXIV controller player as well, it’s really not that bad.

Idk if you’re being serious or funny, but he’s not dead. He didn’t like the fame that that song brought and just wanted to make his own sound in his own way, so he just stepped out of the spotlight.

Gosh, he has so many great songs. There are a bunch that are on my playlist that I will fight for.
Also, the music videos are great. Big recommend on trying his other music

I’ve had to use the ebrake method before for a hill that was wayyyy too steep and a fence gate closed behind me.
You basically just let off the clutch and press on the gas until the car wants to move forward, then you let off the e brake and go without going backwards.

The Spell Brigade. It’s unfortunately early access, but it’s an up-to-4 player co-op Survivors-type game. I love Vampire Survivors so of course I wanna play co-op. I’ve been having a bunch of fun with it, both with friends and without.
- Comment on Bi-weekly Recommendations Thread: What are you playing? 4 months ago:
I also wanted to mention Fields of Mistria. I don’t really like Stardew Valley very much, but this one is really pulling me in for whatever reason. It’s still early access, but it’s got a bunch of QoL improvements from Stardew and the characters are really fun.

Just picked up a game called Hellcard that is basically co-op Slay the Spire. It’s a lot of fun and the look of the game is really unique, I think. I really love StS so being able to co-op basically the same thing is a ton of fun.

I’m not sure how old old is, but SOMA is always such a delight to play through.
Another somewhat older game is Duskers where you control drones one empty human ships, trying to find out where humans went.

I’ve had it for a while but finally it dug it’s claws in - Tunic!
Apparently this is a devisive little game. I absolutely adore it and think the combat difficulty is just about perfect while the puzzle solving and the exploration is masterclass levels of design. The show, don’t tell approach is used so perfectly here. Ah I love it

I love this game so much. It’s so chill but also blood boiling lol
