  Unfortunately realistic image gen can already be done on local consumer hardware at the cost of additional rendering time. The cat is out of the bag. And while local video gen is pretty easy to spot, the models just keep getting faster and better at a scary rate.

  That is some terrible upscaling. I would at the least try to run it through an upscaler like SeedVR2 but that would take quite a bit of time on consumer grade hardware

  It most likely could, but it would also be extremely expensive and power hungry to train for such a specific purpose. You would also need to develop the training framework before anything else. Creating the groundwork is the hurdle, and a huge one at that

  It can be scarily accurate if you have the time. Not every generation will be great but you can randomize the seed and run it until you get a result you like
