The worst one… so far.
- Comment on 2 weeks ago:
“The way to defeat Kirk was with words and facts.”
And you scoff like my statement was outlandish.
My gut feeling is this isn’t going to be as impactful as people are saying. I remember the media buzz after Trump was almost waxed and we didn’t see any (noteworthy) reprisals.

He was an American right wing grifter. He was popular for inflammatory half baked rhetoric with a penchant for racism and a sprinkle of trans/homophobia. He supported political violence when it was his tribe doing the violence.
Trump announced his death and the House of Representatives had a moment of silence and prayer over it so you know he was one of the more respected assholes in their club.We also dropped our flags to half mast for what was effectively a social media influencer with no decency or qualifications.
There was a school shooting today. 3 kids are dead. Our media doesn’t care. Nepal seems to be having a BBQ at their parliament building and the talking heads keep whining about Kirk.
This is the most relevant he will ever be and tomorrow it will be over(hopefully).

Charlie Kirk. Dead.
- Comment on 2 weeks ago:
Yeah. Nobody should have to watch their parent or child die. Guy was a waste of oxygen but I hope the kids get plenty of therapy.
Moving forward may the world be a slightly better place, where these conservative grifters are tempered slightly by the fear they might end up like Charlie here.

It was initially discovered on the other side of the planet in a french lab in 1923. It wasnt widely adopted until the 30s. But yeah it technically did “exist”. In hindsight I should have just said it wasn’t available.

The sled dog team led by Balto didn’t deliver vaccines. The vaccine for Diphtheria didn’t exist in 1925.
They delivered diphtheria antitoxin serum which was the only treatment at the time.
The image has a good sentiment though. The Florida change is just more undermining of public schools to push private charter school enrollment. These bozos in our government voted in vouchers to directly subsidize the businesses they themselves are invested in.

It’s spelled that way because Fruit Loops was too generic to trademark. There is a story about froot loops changing its name due to a lawsuit but that was proven apocryphal. There are other brands with this being a real issue that happened.
In 2020 there was an Australian lawsuit with hopes to force Kellogg to change the name because Froot Loops had over the years become a slur for disabled people. It’s failed.
- Comment on Hollow Knight: Silksong Sparks Debate About Difficulty and Boss Runbacks 2 weeks ago:
I like them because it forces you to try to salvage a fight instead of just conceding after a bad start. The time spent getting to the boss is investment you don’t want to waste.
I think this is really just an issue of the tools and abilities not being inherently linked to the related bosses And weak to being exploited by them.
FYI quickhop attacking is faster than ground combos and you can weave in the trio dagger throws when you are dodging away from close attacks. Also your attack will negate enemy attacks weapon hitbox(but you still have to dodge bodily contact). The poison tool upgrade is overbalanced and makes a lot of fights a joke.

Society requires regulation to reduce feedback loops. Everyone always assumes things can only be allowed or disallowed but there is a medium where the barriers to entry reduce the risk to bystanders while preserving liberty. See drivers licence, chemical aquisition background checks, etc.

It’s all starting to make sense. Excessive marijuana use makes people gravitate toward conservative ideology. Man are all those old hippies going to be upset when I give them the news.

Funny, but branding aside coming together in a public way in support of more privacy and a right to repair is worth it. It is a great way to develop solidarity and create more conversation on the topic.

In the US, the average weight for men is around 199 pounds (90 kg), and for women, it’s around 171 pounds (77 kg). In India, the average weight for men is around 145 pounds (65 kg), and for women, it’s around 121 pounds (55 kg). That being said Americans are on average 2.5cm taller. Average BMI is 26.5 in the US and 23 in India.
So twice the size? Not really. This picture is amusing though.

Haven’t noticed anyone say anything about this yet but cuttlefish bones are flat thin discs. They sell them in pet stores as a calcium supplement.
Not a comfortable phallus if used in that way.

The term carnism was coined by social psychologist and author Melanie Joy in 2001
I have been hearing this term used to demean meat eaters since the late 80s. I guess they were all misinformed too.
- Comment on It's just loss. 2 months ago:
It feels like user wasn’t talking about specifically people on the carnivore diet. It came off as a slur against people on the most common diet on earth.
- Comment on It's just loss. 2 months ago:
If you are describing omnivores as “carnies” then that would be a slur since most people consider people on the carnivore diet to be unhinged or misinformed.
Slurs exist to denigrate and diminish ones character.
Without argument, more vegetarians will help the world, but I don’t think name calling wins hearts and minds.

This comment is a breath of fresh air in this doomer echo chamber. Somewhere along the line people stopped wanting to fix things and now the people we need to save this country are leaving in droves. We need to remain positive and organized.
