Key word being probably. You never know.

and most humans are unaware of how to fish, and catch oysters with their bare hands.
Tedesche@lemmy.world 2 days ago
“Catch” oysters? Because they’re so quick and spry?
kubica@fedia.io 3 days ago
But has anyone tried to teach them?
lugal@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 days ago
Have you?
queerlilhayseed@piefed.blahaj.zone 2 days ago
I tried but for some reason they keep cavorting in the sun and water all day.
Maybe they are trying to teach me a lesson.

So am i. Does that make me a north American river Otter?
hungryphrog@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 days ago
Yeah.

I mean, you know why you need all these security to go into a Fab? To hide the fact that all of our chips are secretly built by otters, who are all in a cult managed by the deep state and Joe Biden.

Shortly after this picture was taken, the subject was quoted as saying
I think you have mistaken me for someone who builds a dam
AllNewTypeFace@leminal.space 2 days ago
Well, they’re not exactly Britney Spears, are they?

I’ll not stand for this pro-seal propaganda my chair is really comfy
partial_accumen@lemmy.world 3 days ago
This is a bit of a misnomer. While North American River otters have zero knowledge on field-effect devices, they have a good grasp of junction devices such as transistors. It would not be surprising to anyone that knows otters that they can be bi-polar.

I belive he knows about Steamyconductors
untorquer@lemmy.world 3 days ago
Am i sad because I’m empathizing with a North American River Otter who looks sad or am i sad because the North American River Otter is probably unaware of how semiconductors work? Either easy North American River Otter deserves better.
aeronmelon@lemmy.world 3 days ago
How much trouble would the human race be in if they figured it out?
captainlezbian@lemmy.world 3 days ago
Not much. I don’t think they have much access to gallium
Madison420@lemmy.world 3 days ago
Depends on the otter gallium does exist in sea deposits and just generally dissolved in ocean water.
LemmyKnowsBest@lemmy.world 3 days ago
The look of cluelessness on his little furry otter face really sends it home for me.
tired_n_bored@lemmy.world 3 days ago
That’s why the world is failing. Otters would rather build dams instead of attending college and it shows
AngryCommieKender@lemmy.world 3 days ago
Otters don’t build dams. That’s beavers. Otters will happily squat in an abandoned beaver dam though. At least until it falls apart from lack of repair.
LemmyKnowsBest@lemmy.world 3 days ago
TIL I quite likely have something in common with a river otter.

@Grok is this true?

@Gork@sopuli.xyz is this true?

No, they are secretly hoarding all the 2 nm process node to make DIMM DRAM Dams.

I Am Otter
otter@lemmy.zip 3 days ago
I would beg to differ:
Semiconductors work by having electrical conductivity that can be controlled and modified, allowing them to act as either conductors or insulators depending on conditions. This is achieved through a process called doping, where impurities are added to the semiconductor material, creating regions that can conduct electricity more easily.
gigastasio@sh.itjust.works 3 days ago
Okay but listen, if you’re an Asian small-clawed otter, or a Neotropical otter, you’d be expected to know that. We’re talking about the North American river otter here, and everyone knows what bumpkins they usually are.
TheTechnician27@lemmy.world 3 days ago
Here’s the thing. You said a “North American river otter understands semiconductors.”
Is it in the same subfamily as the other otters? Yes. No one’s arguing that.
otter@lemmy.zip 3 days ago
Listen bub, us North American River otters can be engineers, too. It’s just that societal structures that hold many of my fellow species back. I don’t appreciate the generalizations.
captainlezbian@lemmy.world 3 days ago
They aren’t bumpkins, they’re just far more likely to major in pure math or biology.
