Please don’t create a bot account that is not flagged as a bot. There is enough malicious activity that you might not see because mods/admins are doing their job.
There is no need to increase the volunteer work these people do.

I believe many instances defederate lemmynsfw.com simply because instance admins don’t want that legal responsibility and don’t have tools to keep an eye on it.
It’s been there for quite a long time though, just incase people here were not aware.

Yup. Since fedia.io was federating with ani.social for awhile you’ve got a “local copy” of ani.social’s communities on fedia.io from back when it federated.
So when you post on those communities it’s all happening only on fedia.io and you see posts/comments on that community from other fedia.io users. But, for example, I can’t see what fedia.io local copy of anime@ani.social looks like from my instance, because my “local copy” is still federating with the actual instance anime community is hosted on (i see new posts and my posts/comments get sent first to ani.social’s original community and federates to rest of instances from there).

Yeah I assumed old info as well. And with electronjs allowing web apps to run as native apps I also have suspicions that the version between web and native is going to blur out with MS apps.
I am so hyped for Libre software. Inkscape is another amazing software that has come a long way recently.

The article says that other office apps can only do collaborative document work in their browser versions, but I thought Word can do it natively as long as the document is in OneDrive/Sharepoint/whatever microsoft came up with next?
I recall opening a shared document locally with Word and being able to collaborate.
Nevertheless, amazing news for Libre software!

He was a freelancing PCB designer but pretty much got consistent jobs and in the end longer contracts from this platform.

I know a guy from Ukraine who was doing this on fiverr and was making quite a lot of money from US clients. He was doing PCB design though so don’t know how well fiverr works for other fields.

This was an interesting raising-awareness project.
And the article says they didn’t let the chatbot generate its own responses (and therefore produce LLM hallucinations) but rather used an LLM in the background to categorize user’s question and return an answer from said category.
