Yeah, German rail makes the math look good. On paper, the fast passenger trains run on renewable energy. But then there’s cargo trains on the same tracks, which do not.

Yeah, that’s why I decided to purchase it now. Get the old one while it’s still available and see what the new one is like.

Thanks for checking, I appreciate that. Of course opening a hot spot with my phone won’t be a problem, but a bit annoying if it’s just for playing an old game.

I read about the upcoming new version and pulled the trigger because Steam had the game for 5 €. The idea was that I might get a Steam Deck some time this year so I can play games on my commute. Will I not be able to play the game unless I open a hot spot on my phone?

Watch Dogs 2 is a weird one. I absolutely understand all the criticism and see the flaws, but I still play it and the breaks between two runs only get shorter. I love its rendition of SF and the Bay Area, the game has that je-ne-sais-quoi that draws me towards it.
Watch Dogs Legion though? Oh my goodness…

I don’t much care about the Danes either.

Which in of them is Legolas and which is Aragorn? Been a while since I’ve watched the movies?

Anno 1404 rules and is very playable still. I was never really interested in the series, but that game really got me.

Since it’s at the beginning of a sentence, it’s correct either way :P

Ideal, as in “100 mph tail wind all the way”.

Not totally random. Consistently wrong, with only “Niemcy” out of line.

It’s been kinda “opt out” since the 70’s, so you could write a letter along the lines of “I was raised a pacifist and cannot point a gun at anybody” and do non-military service instead. Like in an old folks home or a hospital. If they bring back military service the way it was (until around 2012 I believe?), that’s completely fine I think.

It’s a shame that “In The Valley Of Gods” is unlikely to happen anymore.

I still see (and am blinded by) bikes, electric or not. Some people just don’t realize that the road in front of them should be illuminated, not the apartments on the third floor.

Köln is indeed special.
- Comment on Choose one before starting the game... 5 months ago:
Those cost increases are not unique to Cologne though. It starts with a cost estimate that’s way below that is highly unlikely to work out, but one that is politically feasible. Then costs increase and often enough, public sector decision makers are inept at damage control when unexpected things happen (which they do) and plans need to be reworked accordingly. Things then get out of hand and construction companies know that shit needs to get done at some point and there’s more money to be made once the child has fallen into the well.
You’re not gonna be able to start a 600 million euro project if you’re honest about it. You say it’ll be 250 million, get it greenlit, and go from there. It’s stupid, but that’s how it works everywhere. I’m not saying that there is no corruption involved, but I don’t think it’s the worst problem.
