- Comment on The police state has always been bipartisan 5 days ago:
Yes I’m not scared or something, but I’m just sorry for the people who actually support a cause with their heart and for this reason they get expelled from the country, lose their job etc
- Comment on The police state has always been bipartisan 6 days ago:
Am I schizophrenic if I think American agencies monitor social medias to hunt for people supporting Palestine?
- Comment on Mozilla is Introducing 'Terms of Use' to Firefox | Also about to go into effect is an updated privacy notice 1 week ago:
Disgusting
- Comment on Do you like the Mastodon approach of consistent branding for different instances? 4 weeks ago:
But people are used to one and only Twitter. If we create one billion different brands for the same Mastodon instances nobody is gonna hop on them cause they will understand even less than what they understand now about Mastodon and the fediverse
- Comment on Do you like the Mastodon approach of consistent branding for different instances? 4 weeks ago:
I like consistent branding because non-technical people get confused when they have one billion different names for everything when you could just say “join a Mastodon instance”

As a non-British this womans freaks me out. She is a black woman yet she’s racist and misogynist. Like she has some deep issues within herself

Don’t stop investing. Investing the right way is the right thing to do with money you don’t need in the near future to prevent it to rot in bank.
- Comment on have you ever been given a warning or suspension for using profane language at work? 4 months ago:
I curse all the time and once I’ve even said “you’re a dickhead” to the boss. Nobody cares
- Comment on A TikTok alternative called Loops is coming for the fediverse | Users own their content, and Loops doesn’t sell or provide videos to third-party advertisers or train AI on them. It will be open source 4 months ago:
I have been so happy since I’ve adopted the “intentional browsing” concept. It means I am the only one choosing what I want to see so I use NewPipe instead of YouTube, Mastodon instead of Twitter, Lemmy and a RSS reader instead of Reddit. My life has improved so much I am not even kidding. I feel ‘clean’

Well I’ve done it just twice, I don’t even remember what I did, I just soldered things that seemed broken.

Yes you can install Docker on OpenWrt but do your own research as if I remember correctly you have to thinker with it
- Comment on Private Security Camera 5 months ago:
I totally agree with you. I asked on Telegram why Majestic was closed source and I was insulted in Russian. To date I still don’t know why they do that.
I am still using OpenIPC. I don’t see any outgoing connection (but I’ve also disabled internet access to it via firewall just to be sure)
- Comment on Private Security Camera 5 months ago:
I add OpenIPC for great FOSS firmware too
- Comment on Server build for Family 7 months ago:
I second this. I use BTRFS over ZFS for its reduced footprint but has always been very reliable. With a couple of commands I replaced a disk and btrfs scrub on a monthly basis makes me sleep peacefully (relatively)

Authoritarian China acting like authoritarian China. What a surprise
- Comment on Do you encrypt your data drives? 10 months ago:
No. I run my servers on low quality shit and I expect them to break any time. Never had to perform a data recovery but if I need, I’ll thank myself I didn’t encrypt my pics

There’s no point in it. Brave is just Chromium with their customizations

- Comment on I feel like Fediverse users are nicer to each other and more generous with upvotes than reddit. 1 year ago:
I feel some redditors have the downvote button as the sole mean of power in their lives. There are some who massively downvote to the point it’s concerning
