As a German definitely white. Since yellow is only acceptable for plastic packaging. And bathroom junk is usually tampons and stuff.
Need a tiebreaker

Oh I thought we were choosing wall colour
Tylerdurdon@lemmy.world 3 weeks ago
But the yellow is just so much more sophisticated…

They banned plastic grocery bags in my state to cut down on plastic waste… Now I have to buy more plastic “trash” bags to throw away…
cm0002@lemmy.world 3 weeks ago
I’m convinced that “Big Trash Bag” has been lobbying for these kinds of laws lol
I’m sure they do a little for the climate, but does nothing to tackle the actual big polluters (i.e. big corporations)

Really gotta wonder how America hasn’t invented a corn-based, low-cost, durable polymer that breaks down in typical landfills.

Seems like they need to make a wastebasket that fits the paper sacks?

I’m in California and they did the same thing but we still get plastic bags. They’re reusable and $0.10 each.
Raiderkev@lemmy.world 3 weeks ago
My stare does it too, but there’s still plenty of other things that come in paper or plastic bags that I use for garbage i.e. takeout, etc that I’ve still got the same box of trash bags I bought like 8 years ago. Very rarely to I use an actual trash bag.

Got to love Lemmy. I see so many goofy posts like these and then everyone proceeds to take it way to seriously and even starts to give advice.

Most of us have a touch of the 'tism.

Don’t choose the yellow one. It gets tricky to know when the pee is about to overflow.
JasonDJ@lemmy.zip 3 weeks ago
I never thought I’d put these words together…but Walmart is the classier choice.
Mildetoast@lemmy.world 3 weeks ago
I think it’s black and blue.
Sibshops@lemm.ee 3 weeks ago
You could use none and just dump it into the larger trash bag in the kitchen when it fills up. Every so often, wash it out in the bathtub.
BakerBagel@midwest.social 3 weeks ago
I use the bathroom garbage to empty the litterboxes. Ain’t no way i am raw dogging that
Rivalarrival@lemmy.today 2 weeks ago
With Amazon, you can get rid of the can as well. Cardboard boxes make excellent, disposable wastebaskets.

I’ve actually been using the box my computer case came in for recycling for a little over a year now. It just works!
JackbyDev@programming.dev 2 weeks ago
Omg I did the same lol. Sort of. It’s not my primary one but it has recycling in it.
RagingRobot@lemmy.world 2 weeks ago
You can use them for most types of furniture too!

I’m actually worried these days that I won’t be able to do this one day soon.
The grocery stores I use have stopped using these bags and now I don’t collect them anymore. Up until a year ago I used to complain about it all, I’d collect boxes and boxes of this crap year after year. I used to joke with my friends that I could insulate my garage with this stuff. Now my stash is dwindling as the months go by. I keep emptying box after box of what were once endless stashes of grocery bags.
What will happen when I run out? :(
grue@lemmy.world 3 weeks ago
You’ll have to start recycling and composting.

Idk if kitty litter or dental floss fits into either of those categories

Is this like a northern state thing?
The only places I know that don’t do bags are Sprouts (charges 0.10) and Natural Grocers (they give you leftover boxes if you ask.)
I’ve got a bunch, but can’t share - hoping to process them into yarn.
ininewcrow@lemmy.ca 2 weeks ago
Northern Ontario … although we have a lot in common with the northern states

I’m gonna have to go with choice “A”. The Walmart bag is slightly larger than the DG bag, so it will fit in the bin better.
thenextguy@lemmy.world 2 weeks ago
I don’t wear ties.
agamemnonymous@sh.itjust.works 2 weeks ago
I prefer the generic ones that say “Thank You”
Crumbgrabber@lemm.ee 2 weeks ago
I am thinking a macaroni and cheese theme would fit well. Lets take the yellow and put some cotton balls around them.
Clairvoidance@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 weeks ago
blue contrasts the wall better, even with the auto-white-balance taken into account
Dorkyd68@lemmy.world 2 weeks ago
I prefer the Grey lowes ones myself however im sort of a snob like that
adarza@lemmy.ca 3 weeks ago
you’re gonna need to go two-tone. even tossing just an empty tp tube into either runs the risk of the bag breaking.
BeigeAgenda@lemmy.ca 3 weeks ago
You can see the camera’s auto white balance changes depending on the colour of the bag.

If you want nice warm hues in your portraits, always pose with a Walmart shopping bag
