- Comment on Sam Altman Thanks Programmers for Their Effort, Says Their Time Is Over 1 week ago:
I think most engineers don’t really like it because it’s making things harder and way less fun. The people who usually seem all about it are engineering managers and c suite idiots. They are all pushing it so hard. The message is clear, use the ai or be fired. It’s been sold to them and they bought it with everything they have. It’s not going to happen the way they think though.
AI tools are nice when I use them the way I want to. I like to do the stuff I am good at and have it help me with what I’m not so good at. At work they want us to just use it for everything though until it can just replace use. That’s bullshit and it ruined any benefits we would have gained

- Comment on Lutris now being built with Claude AI, developer decides to hide it after backlash 2 weeks ago:
I never said anything about not reviewing the code. You still need to review it and test it and all that. But using a tool to generate the code isn’t the end of the world. It’s just the next iteration of how we tell computers what to do. Saying no ai code seems like a recipe for failure.
- Comment on Lutris now being built with Claude AI, developer decides to hide it after backlash 2 weeks ago:
When we write code we use a compiler to translate it into other code that the computer can understand. Now we tell AI to write code that is then compiled into other code that the computer can understand.
It seems very similar at the end of the day. The problem is it makes the process easier. That’s what everyone is so upset about. And that’s only an issue because we don’t feel special anymore. It sucks but I’m sure it will pass. Even if it takes a generation

I have had some issues with my electric car in rural areas between FL and GA and I will say the charging infrastructure has gotten much better in the past year in that area. Especially since most cars can also use the Tesla chargers too if you need to.

What about people who say “my pleasure” or “I just came”
- Comment on Burger King will use AI to check if employees say ‘please’ and ‘thank you’ 4 weeks ago:
Forcing them to say please and thank you will not fix the issues with Burger King lol.
That is the shittiest fast food place. I loved it as a kid but it’s gone way down hill. The food is awful quality and the employees don’t care about anything because they aren’t paid a living wage. I stopped going a while ago when they gave me a drink full of moldy ice. I took my kid because he wanted to try the king of burgers. He was so disappointed lol

You already pay for stuff you don’t use that’s just the nature of how business works. Why draw the line at parking?
I personally don’t like public restrooms so if I agree not to use them can I get cheaper tuition? It’s not fair for me to pay for something I don’t really use right?

It would be cool to make some kind of open source components you add to a blog to suggest other blogs you might be interested in. If you use it on your site you would show up on other peoples blogs. There could be tags or something to keep the content relevant.
I wonder if anything like that exists. Probably too easy to abuse

That’s only if they keep their current system though. Why would they do that if they can see it won’t work out going forward? Their economic system will need to evolve and that’s ok.
Why should people change their behaviors to suit the economy instead of just changing the economy?
