The real question: Is that Pilot G7 a 0.10 or a 0.7? Very different pens. 0.7 ftw
Denjin@lemmings.world 1 year ago
Those special pens I learned to write with at school

7 all day. Bic for life
SkyezOpen@lemmy.world 1 year ago
I love Bic but those particular ones have never done well for me.
Wetstew@lemmy.world 1 year ago
2 or 3.
I use to love G2’s, but they fell off. I found a sharpie pen a while back and was shocked by how well it wrote, it’s now my goto.
Doomsider@lemmy.world 1 year ago
Sharpie pens are the best!
krasny@lemmy.world 1 year ago
I write a lot (I am professor) and pilot g-2 (#5) is the way to go. Don’t be fooled by sharpie’s grip, I just finished a box of that model in red ink and g-2 is way better.
BigBrainBrett2517@lemmy.world 1 year ago
Here here!
finitebanjo@lemmy.world 1 year ago
5
I would pick 3 but I don’t think its ball pen and I have trouble controlling the strength when I press down on the paper.
Grimtuck@lemmy.world 1 year ago
I used 5 once and I ended up buying a pack of 10 as they were so good to write with.
SoftestSapphic@lemmy.world 1 year ago
These are all terrible
7
Delphia@lemmy.world 1 year ago
Give me a clicky pen or give me death!
Lucidlethargy@sh.itjust.works 1 year ago
All of these suck.
HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world 1 year ago
I have several boxes of Uniball Eco. The ink dries fast enough lefties can write without smearing.
A7thStone@lemmy.world 1 year ago
What, no papermate inkjoy? Cheaper than G2s and they fit better in your hand, unless you are gripping it with clubs.
tyler@programming.dev 1 year ago
anyone voting G2 hasn’t used one recently, or hasn’t used literally any other pens in that time. I think the G2 is the absolute worst one on the list. At least the bic doesn’t pretend to be able to write very well.
captain_aggravated@sh.itjust.works 1 year ago
Pilot G-2, Obviously. #5.
Death_Equity@lemmy.world 1 year ago
Poor ignorant fools not knowing the F-701 and F-402 hack.
Enjoy your writing in poverty and discomfort, you will never know glory because you sought comfort in convenience and thrift instead of greatness at all costs.
RememberTheApollo_@lemmy.world 1 year ago
No zebra? Guess I’m never writing again.
niktemadur@lemmy.world 1 year ago
The day I first gripped a #5, had there been clickbait thumbnails back then, mine would have read:
This Changes EVERYTHING!zipzoopaboop@lemmynsfw.com 1 year ago
4, those pens are so smooth
carpelbridgesyndrome@sh.itjust.works 1 year ago
I have an entire note taking program calibrated around the ink colors of 5. I kinda dug myself that grave though. They are at least decent pens.
MasterFlamingo@lemm.ee 1 year ago
1 and 2 look good but looks are deceiving. 5,6 all the way.
BigDanishGuy@sh.itjust.works 1 year ago
I like 1 because it’s thin and not a roller type. You only have to imagine writing and you’re doing it. Rollers can be ok, and 5 is a decent example, but 1 used with a ruler for precise drawing, nothing beats that.
zammy95@lemmy.world 1 year ago
I would’ve agreed with you 13 years ago, but something changed with the pilot G2s. They went from S tier to B at best. Ironically, I’ve replaced them with 2 now. The Pilot Precision’s have been my favorite for quite awhile now personally
Kolanaki@pawb.social 1 year ago
The good ol’ BIC G2. Phat fucking lines, I’ve never had one clog, they’re comfortable to hold and fun to take apart and put back together again while you pretend it’s a gun.
kat_angstrom@lemmy.world 1 year ago
Another vote for 5, 0.7
Like those Zebra Sarasas, the blue ones are perfect
moakley@lemmy.world 1 year ago
2, and it’s not close.
AA5B@lemmy.world 1 year ago
7, easy spitball shooter
Zomg@lemmy.world 1 year ago
KSPAtlas@sopuli.xyz 1 year ago
3, it’s the best one I recognise
ClamDrinker@lemmy.world 1 year ago
Surprised I had to scroll down so far to find 3, it’s just the same as 5 but with better grip around the finger tips, which avoids the pen from twisting when you hold it tightly.
CaptnNMorgan@lemmy.world 1 year ago
Thank you, I agree.
NoSpiritAnimal@lemmy.world 1 year ago
- The Bic Pilot G2 in 1mm writes like butter. Glorious. $4.95 for a 4 pack.
livingcoder@programming.dev 1 year ago
The price and quality are so hard to beat.
teawrecks@lemmy.world 1 year ago
s gel goes hard. but not 3. the black metal barrel
Pulptastic@midwest.social 1 year ago
2 but never black. Red or green are best.
