It will go to the Supreme Court and they’ll bend the knee and gobble it up until it gushes from the corners of their mouths.

That when I eventually get sound working again I can feel good about fixing something. One month now without sound and having to use Windows. Will probably have to reinstall because I’ve tried everything that could find on the internet to fix it without success.

I think it would fall under forgery which is definitely illegal and doesn’t require you to use the ID.

As a 48 year old expecting his first child, I can confirm that you will always look back and think this and I’m certain I will again in the future.
OP, don’t rush to make these decisions even if there is a good chance that you won’t change your mind. There are medicines that are very close (or maybe available now?) that will achieve some of the same benefits without surgery. There might be a smarter choice for you if you take your time with this decision.
- Comment on Avatar (the one with the blue aliens) is such a weird franchise 1 month ago:
But you could do this with every story/movie trope that’s been repeated throughout our species history. The concept of retelling stories in different contexts is itself not new but for sure reason Avatar gets overly criticised for it.
You don’t see the same criticisms for every bank heist movie that all follow the same basic premises as each other. I just did it a bit weird why so many people are against this particular trope. Is it because it tries to deal with our history of oppression and colonisation? I honestly don’t know.
I doubt there are any truly original stories that couldn’t be shown to be a retelling of another. I would even argue that some genres wouldn’t exist if this wasn’t a thing.

The billionaires have you convinced. Congratulations. Now only billionaires can benefit from cheap labour. I wish you that happened? What kind of forces would possibly make it so that only the rich would benefit? Must be the immigrants, right?

You clearly haven’t eaten my wife’s cooking and most ready meals might look like food but don’t have a lot of nutrition and have now salt than you need in a week.
- Comment on Vibe coding is to coding what microwaving is to cooking. 2 months ago:
I would say it’s more accurate to say that vibe coding is to coding what microwaving a ready meal is to being a restaurant chef.

Because I don’t watch random videos, I watch people I’m subscribed to and they don’t exist on other platforms. I would love to switch, really. The very fact I’m on Lemmy tells you that I’m open to doing that kind of thing.

I really enjoyed it and didn’t experience any bugs as I waited for it to be sorted. It was also one of the rare games that held my attention long enough to finish, so that’s probably why I think highly of it. Love that I’m being downvoted! I’ll know not to bother contributing my opinion next time.

Too be fair, this can also be said of teachers. It’s important to recognise that AI’s are as accurate as any single source and should always check everything yourself. I have concerns over a future where our only available sources are through AI.
- Comment on AI is rotting your brain and making you stupid 3 months ago:
Actually it’s taking me quite a lot of effort and learning to setup AI’s that I run locally as I don’t trust them (any of them) with my data. If anything, it’s got me interested in learning again.

My “indoor” cat brings me dinner every day including crows and other animals from the woods nearby. She also fights constantly with our much older next neighbours cat. She might get fed every day, but she hunts and fights for fun.
