The billionaires will teleoperate robots for the march.
Formfiller@lemmy.world 2 weeks ago
I’m proposing a march for guillotines on the same day
boogiebored@lemmy.world 2 weeks ago
Could be at the same place, same time!
Most likely the participants will be poor astroturfers sent on behalf of the billiodogs.
Formfiller@lemmy.world 2 weeks ago
Still would be the symbolic gesture they deserve
architect@thelemmy.club 2 weeks ago

“Vilifying billionaires is popular. Losing them is expensive.”
Certainly, in the same way that failing to catch a bank robber and allowing them to skip town is expensive.
hOrni@lemmy.world 2 weeks ago
What if we rage on behalf of the machine?

I liked RATM before they became all woke and political!

Does anyone know where to sign up for all these paid protesting gigs? Because I can’t imagine a sane person going to this one voluntarily.
phoenixz@lemmy.ca 2 weeks ago
Can you imagine? So many billionaires all in one public place?
isVeryLoud@lemmy.ca 2 weeks ago
Imagine if you put them all on an island!

All I am hearing in this post is that there is at least 200 billion dollars just waiting to be liberated.

Wow, that article is fucking brutal to read. Hope the organizer falls in the shower.

zikzak025@lemmy.world 2 weeks ago
So, if this is indeed trying to be legit, what is stopping people from just co-opting the event as an act of protest anyways?
boogiebored@lemmy.world 2 weeks ago
I thought California taxes were REALLY BAD and everyone HATES it there???
🤔
III@lemmy.world 2 weeks ago
What psychopath would try to lure pure, innocent and very important billionaires in the warzone that is California? Don’t they know we would be lost without their genius and greatness?..
DudeImMacGyver@kbin.earth 2 weeks ago
"Greetings from California Oblast my fellow Americans! Billionaires are great amirite?"
-This guy maybe?
Etterra@discuss.online 2 weeks ago
Watch them hire a bunch of people to protest for them.

Financial obesity is an existential threat to any society that tolerates it, and needs to cease being celebrated, rewarded, and positioned as an aspirational goal.
Corporations are the only ‘persons’ which should be subjected to capital punishment, but billionaires should be euthanised through taxation.
epicthundercat@lemmy.world 2 weeks ago
They are probably all pedos, too. Someone should check their Internet history.
Warl0k3@lemmy.world 2 weeks ago

SAN FRANCISCO — As California struggles with homelessness and healthcare cuts, some activists are taking on an unexpected cause: fighting for billionaires.
About a dozen people took part in the “March for Billionaires” on Saturday morning in San Francisco to raise awareness about the plight of the ultrarich. Although some assumed the event was satire, organizer Derik Kauffman said it was a sincere protest against a potential new tax on the state’s wealthiest residents.
And 10-20 to people showed up to actually protest.

Since they’re marching, they should get at least one billionaire right? One tasty billionaire, Doughnut!!
roofuskit@lemmy.world 2 weeks ago
Good to know so many will be in one place at the same time…
trxxruraxvr@lemmy.world 2 weeks ago
It’s supposed to be a march for billionaires. I doubt many will show up themselves. The people marching will mostly be bootlickers.
foodandart@lemmy.zip 2 weeks ago
…so the rally should really be called “Simp for Billionaires…”
