Good luck with innovation when your engineers’ morale is in the shitter. I honestly don’t even believe they want to innovate. They probably want to coast off name recognition and what they have for a while and see how long it takes before they start losing ground. The problem with this is it almost always comes back to kick them in the ass. Here is hoping for just that. Besides screw Cisco, I’ve only worked for companies that hate them and use everything else that gets the job done just as good for a fraction of the cost and way easier to set up.

Nice first look.
- Comment on Chrome VPN Extension With 100k Installs Screenshots All Sites Users Visit 5 days ago:
What about Firefox? Looks like it exists for more than just chrome. I know because I literally used it this week for the first time ever due to being on vacation in a state that wants my photo to view porn… I couldn’t believe this shit actually exists now.
- Comment on They'd just appear out of nowhere 6 days ago:
I had some since childhood and as a child trying to explain these to people lead nowhere, and I just thought I had something nobody else had. Then, years later, the internet came, and some random post like this came, and I went holy shit! It was amazing to finally know what it was and that they really aren’t a big deal.
- Comment on Have you ever noticed no one ever looks at a penis and then says, "wow, he must have big feet." 1 week ago:
Did you think of this because of the article about the guy who broke his arm due to his 14.5-inch penis?
- Comment on Perplexity offers to buy Google Chrome for $34.5 billion 1 week ago:
Wouldn’t people just leave? I feel like that’s such an easy thing to do these days. If they are too old, they probably weren’t using Chrome anyway and default to edge since its just there. I know not everyone would, but I wonder what the percentage would be in the end. They have been killing it themselves lately with the removal of the blockers. I’ve been on Firefox for over a decade now. If Firefox did something like this, I would be gone in a day.

Looks cool, but do you control just the moon or both the character and the moon?

I wish I could have told my late high school self this.
- Comment on Anyone interested? 2 weeks ago:
I think the most insulting part is the price… I thought most “gaming” chairs cost less than that since they are cheap, terribly made products that need to appeal to lower end markets. So just buy a new one for the same price or cheaper.
- Comment on Rockstar Games Plans Age Verification For GTA Online 2 weeks ago:
Phew, ok good. A few months ago, when this first leaked, it made it seem like this was going to be used for every country and for the entire game. I have never played GTA online and never will.
The internet is continuing to get worse and worse… also, those comments on the actual article were strangely to pro.
- Comment on PlayStation 6 Console And New PS6 Handheld ‘Canis’ Specs Leak, It’s Claimed - Insider Gaming 3 weeks ago:
Some weird views in the article. Like comparing it to the price of the ps5 pro and will be lower. Of course it will be. It has to be since the price point of the average consumer will never buy it at that price. They need to get it back down to the $400-$500 range for it to work. Also saying the ps4 cutback on hardware compared to the ps3 may be true but it wasnt noticeable either. The jump between both consoles was huge and didnt seem like anything was sacrificed. That won’t be the case here since i doubt anyone will even notice the difference because games aren’t getting that much better looking anymore. They need to start focusing on features and other advantages to establish itself as a better option to having a PC.

The color of the meats makes it look rancid. I would have to pass on that, but I wonder how the sauce tastes.

It was definitely great to see them back. I think everyone had enough of the movies. It worked for a bit but definitely didn’t hit as much.
Bonus, we also got always sunny back at the same time!

This sounds fantastic. I’ll have to try it out. Years ago, I tried using hyperspin, but found it to be a lot of work and eventually gave up. This looks to be much simpler, which is exactly what I wanted.

At least they like to use new talent. Its annoying when they keep reusing the same actors.
- Comment on What are the best free mmorpgs for a beginner? 4 weeks ago:
I played through it when they released this version, and honestly its an insane amount of free content. I completed the base game but never did complete the 100 quest wall that was in the first expansion. I had a lot of fun, and I agree this is the perfect MMO to pick up. I probably had about 3 months of time spent in it and was not disappointed.

The Google reviews are pretty hilarious as well.

- Comment on A big announcement from Skill Up (new website) 5 weeks ago:
Is there any true way to block it? Does the crawler literally use the same access (443) as us to scrape content? If so, the only other thing I can think of is to block all known IP’s that AI crap originates from, but that sounds daunting and impossible to catch everything.

Sounds like a good area that’s about to get a whole lot better at faking this system. I would just take a picture of a picture if that’s what it takes. Then again, I would never do this and will just look elsewhere.
- Comment on A big announcement from Skill Up (new website) 5 weeks ago:
I don’t blame them, I also think the pay wall stops AI from stealing everything as well. I just wish they had a $5 tier. It seemed to be one of the big comments on the video, and I agree with it. Sure its less, but I would imagine the extra people gained from that tier would certainly help since its lost money at the moment.
- Comment on Linux Reaches 5% Desktop Market Share In USA 5 weeks ago:
Nah, I am more of a single-player kind of person. I was barely any good in my prime 25 years ago and I have only gotten worse since so I stick to mostly RPGs or other action style games.
- Comment on Linux Reaches 5% Desktop Market Share In USA 5 weeks ago:
Is he really the reason? I just started trying a bunch over the past month through vm’s to see which one I like the best because I want to take the leap soon. I am doing it mostly due to the video game performance and compatibility reaching high enough levels that I don’t think it will be a big issue anymore. I also listed out all my current Windows apps and looked up what the alternative is, and from what I see, there is nothing left that won’t run on Linux anymore. The next step is seeing how some compare to what I am used to.
I can’t be the only one who is noticing its current state and just wanting to try something different. I don’t hate windows like everyone talks about it online, but I am at the point where I am noticing they are only going to get worse with privacy and continue to make awful built in features that do more to benefit themselves over you. So the 2 lines have crossed paths, and I think it’s the perfect storm for Linux soon.
- Comment on Say Hello to the World's Largest Hard Drive, a Massive 36TB Seagate 5 weeks ago:
That’s roughly what I have now, and I only have about 200gb left, so I kind of wish I could get a little more right now. This is across 7 drives. I really hope storing data becomes faster and cheaper in the future because as it keeps growing over the past few decades, it gets longer and longer to replace and move this much data…
- Comment on Say Hello to the World's Largest Hard Drive, a Massive 36TB Seagate 5 weeks ago:
Omg I really have been out of the loop. I originally filled my 8 bay NAS with 6tb drives starting back in 2018. Once they would fill, i added another. 3 years ago, I finally ran out of space and started swapping out the 6tb for 10tb. Due to how it works, I needed to do 2 before I saw any additional space. I think i have 3 or 4 now, and the last one was 2 years ago. They did cost around $250 at the time, and I think i got 1 for just over $200. The fact that I can more than double that for only $300 is crazy news to me. Guess I am going to stop buying 10tb now. The only part that sucks is having to get 2 up front…

Same! I think they know about it because of roblox. So they know the games, but not really what the show is, which is a little better.

I used to hate them growing up, then I think my tastes changed, and now I love them. The bold acidic vinegar flavor just hits right. I still don’t go out of my way for them, I’ll always be a sour cream and onion guy for life, haha.
