Thats what i was thinking, but there is no mention on if this did happen and if it did what did was compromised or allowed to happen.

Yikes… i guess i am confused though. What data was being sent through this channel? What did they get from people while it happened and why did it take 2 months past them stopping it to finally make a release? I love the app, but this sounds really bad.

Crazy everyone here uses women’s deodorant? Over here it’s the opposite. My wife discovered long ago that she likes mine way more than hers since its bigger, lasts longer, and seems to work better. Im not a fan of this, but what can i do. So we both use either old spice fresh or old spice sport.
- Comment on Players are returning their Dispatch copies due to Switch censorship 4 days ago:
I just heard about this earlier today. My biggest issue is that this wasn’t something they made people aware of prior? It absolutely should have been disclosed prior to release. I hear good things about the game, i just know not to buy it on switch.
- Comment on How far do you wear your daily shoes out before bothering to replace them? 1 week ago:
Well I do have sandals, boots, and a pair of dress shoes as well. I normally keep my old pair as a backup, they are perfect for cutting the grass and not getting my new shoes green.
- Comment on How far do you wear your daily shoes out before bothering to replace them? 1 week ago:
People think I am nuts, but I only have 1 pair of sneakers and I try to make them last at least 2 years, if not 3, before getting a new pair. I know its time if they are failing apart or I start to realize my feet hurt and its most likely due to the worn out shoes that have no more comfort or cushion.
- Comment on How far do you wear your daily shoes out before bothering to replace them? 1 week ago:
Yeah ill do this only when I start noticing a smell that shouldn’t be there after only wearing them for a few hours. I know its time.
- Comment on Does anyone else feel like "analog" stuff is more "tangible"? 1 week ago:
Not really. Your examples work both ways to me. You can loose typewriter stuff as well, like say you spill something all over it. For film I have heard horror stories of it not recording or the film failed so same applies to that as well. If anything stuff like word files now default to save every 5 minutes and honestly if its that important it should be saved both local and some cloud location as well.
I think both sides have pros and cons just like everything and neither are any simpler, at least to me.
- Comment on Hard drive prices have surged by an average of 46% since September — iconic 24TB Seagate BarraCuda now $500 as AI claims another victim 2 weeks ago:
I remember doing this years ago, but the only problem I remember is they were 2 hard drives instead of 1 inside split in size to lower the cost. Idk if its different now, but if you expect 1 drive at that size that could be wrong.

- Comment on Auto update 3 weeks ago:
Windows has this to if you know about it and then take like 10 min to set it up. Winget will update apps for you in the background or you can use the version someone built to use a UI to set it up called UniGetUI. I use it and it updates everything for me with no interaction. Im not thrilled with windows, but im just pointing out that it exists.

Thanks! That makes sense. Although it’s not really others if you ask me, its themselves. I’m sure they would argue otherwise. No accountability and it’s only getting worse.

That sounds horrible. So what do they do with the kids born with issues? Are the wealthy just going to send the kid to be adopted or somehow make it legal to dispose of babies?

If they are being stored on his servers then he absolutely should be, and whoever else is in charge of that company. If that was found on any regular persons pc it would be over, so why not here.

I have tried out a bunch of Linux ones last year and I will be converting over my main PC at some point this year due to all the things they have done or want to do with Windows 11. I agree it’s very hard to ignore.

Can confirm, mine does this lol. It’s 9nly a slight freeze and I use it as an advantage to keep things prone to expiring quicker near that area to prolong its life a bit.
- Comment on NJ’s """answer""" to flooding: it has bought out and demolished 1,200 properties 4 weeks ago:
Agreed, especially since there are probably plenty of better locations in NJ to have these houses rebuilt. With the rise of insurance costs this will save 1200 people the hassle of higher prices and the increased percentage of having to deal with a disaster. It sounds like a great idea to me.

- Comment on Nearly all of Spotify has been scraped and is available via torrents 5 weeks ago:
Oh I know, I work in the industry as well. Our company backups alone for workstations and servers is just under 1 petabyte. This is then replicated to an offsite location which is also out disaster recovery location, and also stored in long term storage in Azure. This is just backups, sooo much money for backups haha. Thats why I am shocked that this entire company can run off of 300tb which is a lot, but nothing when you think of it being the entire business model for them.
I think the craziest thing ive seen is we have these instruments that do genome testing and sequencing and they would create like 10tb worth of data per month. Every month they got there own 10tb drive handed to them to backup their stuff on there own on top of the ones we did for them.
- Comment on Nearly all of Spotify has been scraped and is available via torrents 5 weeks ago:
300tb is a lot, but its kind of crazy to think this entire company only needs 300tb storage arrays to function. I wonder how they handle things internally. I would imagine at least 1 backup server ready to go in HA. I wonder if they have multiple regions across the country that also serves up the same setup.
- Comment on After GOTY pull, Clair Obscur devs draw line in sand: 'Everything will be made by humans by us' 5 weeks ago:
This is where I am confused. I hear this, but I also keep hearing they used AI to create assets when it was first started development as placeholders for future assets. They were all replaced long before the game was ever released. I also heard that the assets used were stock unreal 5 assets which were AI generated but again replaced later long before the game released. So which is the real story?

I am, but I am also in a tight spot since I have a kid who has 1 more year left until school starts and we can’t really afford daycare. This job has been nice since the work has also been much easier compared to 5 years ago. After that happens I am looking for something new immediately.
