The silhouette was quite a bit for a 14 year old.

Woah. The art is gorgeous. What’s the game?

Defender of the Crown (1986)

This was my favourite game as a kid.
I was full on obsessed (with the gameplay!)
I re-visit it once in a while and always have a good time.

Yeah she’s thicc, but she shows it off with how powerful her legs are, so it actually fits her in more than just a sexual manner. The fact she could crush a watermelon with her thighs is just a perk.

Surprised there isn’t more Chun Li here
GaryGhost@lemmy.world 2 months ago
I scrolled knowing chun li would pop up somewhere.

Yeah, but Third Strike has the best version of her character design IMO.

There was a PS1 Fighting game where you, in the menu, could turn “boob movement” on and off to a very little change ingame.
Which one is this?

This screenshot just clawed a memory from the depths of my brain. I don’t even remember playing this game as a kid, but I vividly remember this character and art style.
Apeman42@lemmy.world 2 months ago
It was made by Don Bluth. You might have seen his other game Space Ace, and you’ve definitely seen some of his movies, like An American Tale (Fievel), All Dogs Go To Heacen, Secret of NIMH, or Rock-a-doodle.

Hudell@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 months ago
It’s on Steam if you want to relive the experience.
Last time it was mentioned here on Lemmy I was surprised how many other people also thought they were the only one who played it.
absentbird@lemmy.world 2 months ago
That game is a hidden gem. So many dope story beats.
tomenzgg@midwest.social 2 months ago
I was convinced, until the end of the game, there had to be some way to bring her back.
mic_check_one_two@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 months ago
There was actually a method discovered relatively recently, which allows you to skip her death sequence entirely. It’s obviously not intended, but it is possible to keep her alive.
Rooster326@programming.dev 2 months ago
There was. GameShark if you can remember that

I’m a little embarased to say–I mean I was a preteen boy at the time–but I spent way too many hours fantasizing and lusting over the picture of the Rogue class in the Diablo 1 manual.
Those pixelated succubus titties in the Hell stages were really something too. Kids today just don’t know how desperate we were for even a hint of nudity.
See also, the other love of my young life, Samus Aran.
ilovededyoupiggy@sh.itjust.works 2 months ago
I recently did a single player story playthrough of the four numbered Diablo games, and I noticed that the succubi alternate between naked and clothed in each game.
- Naked
- Clothed
- Naked
- Clothed
So my prediction is that they will be naked again in D5, whenever that comes out.

For me, maybe Razor from Maniac Mansion, even though I never made it more than ~30 mins into that game. My kid brain didn’t understand the funny tingly feeling but years later I realized, “oh duh, hot punk babe”.
There was also Princess What’s-Her-Name, though she wasn’t much of a character.
In terms of characters with actual detailed personality, the first big one was probably Rinoa from FF VIII. I was the same age as her when I played it.
nixon@sh.itjust.works 2 months ago
My hunch is you have a thing for redheads.
Deconceptualist@leminal.space 2 months ago
And latex/spandex. Now that you mention it, this might’ve been the start of both lol

Golden Axe was how I learned at the age of six that I was attracted to women. Used to squint at the CRT a lot to get a better view of that low res ass in that red and silver thong.

Same. Lucca was every nerdy boy’s dream in the 90s.
Deconceptualist@leminal.space 2 months ago
Nah. I was squarely in that audience but my heart went more toward princess Marle and weirdly attractive blonde cavewoman Ayla. Luca was a cool pal though. And you can’t deny those crits.

I always appreciate the girls who go to conventions cosplaying as PS1 era Lara. It’s not a difficult costume to source, you need a pale blue tank top, brown shorts, brown boots, fingerless gloves, a little backpack, the pistol belt with the huge square buckle, and half a shoebox.
