EA (Respawn) peaked at Titanfall 2 and hasn’t released anything good since. I set them to Ignore on Steam a few years ago.

You just reminded me of a funny feature I found in Elite Dangerous (space MMO) to prevent combat loggers (quitting suddenly during combat): if you press Alt+F4,the game doesn’t immediately exit, but shows you a Quit dialog (to main menu or desktop), and there’s a lengthy countdown if you’re near hostile ships. :)
Doesn’t prevent it entirely, but I thought it was pretty crafty.

I vastly prefer the DualSense to the Xbox Series controller, so look into that. It’s a little more expensive but the build quality is much higher and it includes an internal rechargeable battery.
The Steam Controller 2 looks like it’s going to be amazing; I do miss the extra Steam Deck inputs when I use my DualSense. Those back grip buttons are so useful.

You can mod games on Linux though, some just need a bit of fiddling, just look it up. Never tried Civ 6 but people say it’s possible.
