- Comment on GrapheneOS refuses to comply with new age verification laws for operating systems — group says it will never require personal information 6 days ago:
If they ship with Android but confirm that GrapheneOS works, those who even know of GrapheneOS’s existence will put in the effort to install it themselves. It’s totally viable and a simple plan.

- Comment on Without a hint of irony, Russia mocks US for 'miscalculating' Iran war 1 week ago:
The fact that Ukraine was starting to get into NATO effectively meant more Western influence near Russia. Also, any plans of Russian expansion would be dead because Ukraine would be a NATO country. So I think what he meant by “choking Russia” is disallowing them to take over Ukraine.

It taught someone I interacted with in CS2 that they can make good money from selling Roblox skins. No clue how that works but I brought them.

- Comment on Discord Users Threaten Exodus Over Age Verification Face Scan Controversy 1 month ago:
For now they’re really incentivized to not be douchebags to grow their company, at least for the a year or two imo. Which is plenty of time for people like us to figure out how to host our own shit so we don’t have to decide whether we want convenience or privacy/security.
But I’m still hopeful for Root just like I’m hopeful a company like Steam continues to stay decent.
- Comment on Discord Users Threaten Exodus Over Age Verification Face Scan Controversy 1 month ago:
Intro to Root that I watched Root app’s website I made a Root account and run it on NixOS through their appimage. I’m waiting on my friend to get it so I can test the voicechat and screen share but so far it’s functional and has 2 awesome features that Discord doesn’t have.

In the mean time I’m still probably gonna make a Matrix incase Root ever decides to pull a Discord.

Threaten? Bro as soon as the 2 people I care about get on Root I’m out.

- Comment on Players are returning their Dispatch copies due to Switch censorship 1 month ago:
In fairness I have experienced the temptation to buy a Switch 2 simply for Mario Kart World. The game looks like a masterpiece that you can’t get anywhere else. The only limiting factor was Nintendo’s management of the game and how they force people to play intermissions. (And 500 dollars holy shit). But then Sonic Racing Crossworlds released and it was good enough for me.
That’s why in my original comment I said non-exclusive games because if we purely looked at the games, a lot of the exclusive games are bangers so I understand why people still buy from Nintendo.
- Comment on Players are returning their Dispatch copies due to Switch censorship 1 month ago:
This is good. People are learning through experience to not buy any non-exclusive game through Nintendo.

How does this affect anything?
Missing a day of work on a Friday is part of people’e schedule now whether they have a 4 day work week just take a day off. Same with school. This is minimally disruptive. The shopping one is the most useless imo. You could just do all your shopping Thursday and skip Friday.

Sonic Racing Crossworlds. The bots are plenty tough on the hardest difficulty. But you can make them easy too.

I also feel weird about it. “omg they updated a lot blah blah.” I believed them and loaded the have and it’s boring AF. I just assumed it’s a genre I didn’t like but it feels like it’s unworthy of pause for me too. You’re not alone dawg.

At this point Wilds is not worth the tinkering. I’ve had my fun so if I have to put extra effort to get it functional then I’ll pass.

It’s a shame. The game used to run really well on my Linux PC and I reached HR 280. A recent (a month or two ago) update completely fucked it up for me and it’s a pain to hunt now. I doubt they’re ever gonna fix Wilds 💀
