If it is bad on your enterprise that is because someone isn’t disabling it in the group policies.
It can be as bad as Home if you let it.

Even the Pro version allows GPO to block all the AI crap. I did this at home because I run a small business that needs windows applications.

As a public librarian. I prefer you put it on the cart if you don’t know how to put it back. I am a lot faster than you are at putting it back so let me. But that goes everywhere there is shelving.
There’s no other special reason why.

Who is running check on on the return cart? Who has time for that?
These a check in box in the back room. If it isn’t in there, and it has a label then It’s assumed to be part of the connection.

I would argue Expedition 33 is a lot closer to Legend of Dragoon released 26 years ago. Its claim to fame was the active turn based system pulled right out of that game.

It is almost always best to ‘wait and see’ for most things.
But of course if everyone did that - it would never have taken off in the first place.

Windows 11 came out before AI.
They are using Windows 11 to push TPU to control what you will be allowed to install in the future, and also to push hardware sales. It demands you buy a new laptop despite your perfectly functioning one.
We’ve hit the point where PCs aren’t getting that much faster, and so people aren’t upgrading as much. This makes a few powerful people very upset.

In 2023 The penetration is ~20% so by all metrics they did double the number of touch enabled PCs.

That’s literally what Windows 10 was supposed to be. “The last version of windows”. Does no one remember that?

Yes it is very ill advised as people often do important tasks on the PC including banking.
To put this in perspective. There were 1,360 Vulnerabilities reported in 2024. Not single one will be patched post end-of-life.
There are vulnerabilities that were waiting for end-of-life to be exploited.
If I use my malware a month before EOL and it’s caught then I have to start from scratching. If I do it after EOL then I can reap the benefits forever.

There are the “free” upgrades with the phone company.
I saved my old Samsung so long that it became “worthless” for trade in value. So then I did need to buy a new phone. If I had traded it then I would not have any monthly bill for the hardware.
It literally cost me more in the long-term to not trade in early.

We “are” the economy and yet they aren’t.
We keep being told " The economy is strong" and they ain’t talking about you, or me, or anyone either of us have ever met.

- Comment on 3rd-person shooters optimized for controllers? 1 week ago:
Depends on the system sometimes.
A chunk of games will have be on multiple systems, and some form of aim assist but for reasons unknown only allow aim assist on console. It’s kind of frustrating becahse they allow PCs to use controllers. And I am talking single player only games as well…
- Comment on 3rd-person shooters optimized for controllers? 1 week ago:
As someone who has spent far more hours with a trackball, and has been using them for over 2 decades. They are fantastic.
But they aren’t good for FPS games.
I just use a controller and I don’t play competitively.
Feel like you’d have a better time buying a console IF you ONLY wanted a controller AND you wanted to only play competitive PVP games. Neither trackball nor controller can compete without some kind of aim assist.
- Comment on 3rd-person shooters optimized for controllers? 1 week ago:
That’s not even close to true.
15% of Steam sessions are using a controller on a PC

I made the mistake one time. Idk why people speak so highly of them. What is wrong with them?
It got forced updates at Random hours of the day with no even pretend consent of “Not right now. I’m literally on a phone call”. All the update was to install Candy crush or Facebook. Again
I literally lost out on a job because it shut off to update while I was on a phone interview. Called back and the guy was rude af.

Yeah it’s really hard to find so many trailers to know what is up and coming. Am I gonna buy any of them? Not till they discount to the $10 range but shit it’s good to know what I can hope to drop price. Steam recommendations are not very good.

If you go looking for an argument - you’re gonna find one.
I just watch it for the trailers, and wishlist the game I think might be interesting. To be bought 5 years later when they discount to $5.

Don’t look up spoilers! The game is known for its story and yes it absolutely rewards exploration so look around every nook, nothing is so hidden you will need a guide.

Most people don’t even need a PC these days. They use the phone for everything. There is an entire market of people who have windows pc purely to play games, and nothing else. That’s ripe for the taking.

They had everything going for it.
The Wii Controller. The Wii Fit. Wii Bowling. That Wii U Streaming device so you could play Wii Sports on the go. They were truly leaps and bounds ahead.
