Visstix@lemmy.world 2 weeks ago
But remove the bottom part of the figurine. So it’s legless lego legolas loss
ICastFist@programming.dev 2 weeks ago
if you didn’t use legos, would it be legoless legless legolas loss?
snooggums@piefed.world 2 weeks ago
One round of jpg compression from being Borimir.

Took me a second like “what does Lego have to to with loss… oh”
dreadbeef@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 weeks ago
I didnt even think lego had meaning, I immediately saw loss though
ouRKaoS@lemmy.today 2 weeks ago
Same, but replace “…oh” with “…goddammit…”

Internet anthropology is a real field
knowone@slrpnk.net 2 weeks ago
All this needs is an amogus fella hidden in one of the blocks to add some more spice for future peoples
Cracks_InTheWalls@sh.itjust.works 2 weeks ago
It seemed much cooler back when it was called cyber-anthropology. Second Life seemed like it was going to be much more important than it turned out to be, among other things.

Well you see, one time a web comic guy who only knew one punchline decided to try to tell a sad story…
Passerby6497@lemmy.world 2 weeks ago
…with absolutely no context or lead up, leading to a massive tonal whiplash for the reader.
yermaw@sh.itjust.works 2 weeks ago
In his defence, it could have been good if it was a TV show or something. It just didnt work in webcomic form. Plenty of comedy shows have tried (and succeeded) to turn the sad on out of nowhere and suckerpunch the audience.

I mean, Ethan found out Lilah was pregnant several weeks earlier. You don’t get a lot of warning for a miscarriage.

They meet Legolas, an Elven warrior who can’t hold his drink. He’s taking the place of his older brother, Armolas, who can’t hold his bow. Their younger brother, Arseolas, has already lost his seat on the council…

Does anyone else feel like ‘my brain-washing has been completed’ when they find themselves upvoting obscure loss menes?
Twakyr@feddit.org 2 weeks ago
My girlfriend told me i should ask: “who/what is loss?”
buttnugget@lemmy.world 2 weeks ago
That’s the comic that forms the basis for the second part of the phrase. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Loss_(Ctrl%2BAlt%2BDel)
But it’s legos in that format, so the joke is actually Lego Loss, as in Legolas the Lord of the Rings character.
neclimdul@lemmy.world 2 weeks ago
Thank you. The amount of JPEG I couldn’t see they are legos and didn’t get it the actual joke.
AnarchistArtificer@slrpnk.net 2 weeks ago
Did you show this image to your girlfriend and ask her if she got the joke, only for her to give you this oblique reply? If so, that’s hilarious
ParadoxSeahorse@lemmy.world 2 weeks ago
Look why is the 2x2 at a larger scale the the 4x2s
thatKamGuy@sh.itjust.works 2 weeks ago
Perspective; the 2x2 is closer to you than the 2x4.
