  I’m from the countryside in north of England and have lived in London at points for many years of my life. London is generally the worst for proper British food, in my experience. The best fry ups, fish and chips and all that you’re gunna get is in small towns or villages where the place itself is bare bones and no frills. Far cheaper too

  That said, I’ll of course take most other cuisine over our own. I do like foods that require a good amount of seasoning and some actual spice. Our cuisine is really helped by those too as I see it. But most people here seem to draw the line at black pepper, sadly

  Thanks for clarifying for me. Yeah I should’ve maybe given a clear do NOT go picking hogweed to eat, or even that near it, unless you’re absolutely sure you can identify one from the other. Despite it’s name, giant hogweed is very often just as large as the common hogweed surrounding it. It still needs to grow to that size, after all

  There’s so much hogweed all over the UK that’s just sitting there, uneaten. Not the giant stuff, that’s not a fun time. But the regular stuff has good flavour

  Yeah even putting this situation aside I wasn’t that gassed for GOY. I played GOT and enjoyed it sure, but it was yet another typical open world action-adventure game with no innovation at all really, basically the same gameplay we’ve seen countless times at this point. It just had a halfway decent story, which is a low bar for video games, and looked really pretty. And what you say is very true I agree, “by weebs, for weebs”

  I just looked it up now seeing as I hadn’t heard of this either

  From what I can gather one of the senior members of the development team, Drew Harrison, made a joke in a tweet about Charlie Kirk’s death. Loads of right wingers, being the thin skinned, wannabe victims but apparently “free speech warriors” that they are, harassed her and contacted Sucker Punch trying to get her fired, threatening to boycott the game and so on. Sucker Punch predictably caved and did so

  If I’m missing anything, please feel free to add to this. As I say I’m only just hearing about it and haven’t gone on a deep dive about it

  I agree with all of this. The post is one of those many you come across and think “wow heteronormativity really makes people scared of the most normal things”. But I get it, no judgement of course, it’s society that needs a rewrite
