Unless you flip the top pizza, then you have a calzone.
Deep dish thought

abcdqfr@lemmy.world 1 day ago
Eat it, you’ll have a calznone
Tja@programming.dev 1 day ago
I’m stealing this for the next pizza order. My kids will hate it, thanks!
noride@lemmy.zip 1 day ago
Add some spaghetti in there and you got yourself an Italian turducken.

And a curse by Nonna.
yermaw@sh.itjust.works 2 days ago
You have a sandwich if you rotate the top pizza.
You have a mess if you rotate the bottom pizza.

Calazone
codexarcanum@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 day ago
Ooh damn, I think you’re really cooking on this “anti-calzone” idea! Two slices, back to back, bread in the middle surround by toppings on both sides. Basically impossible to eat cleanly or set down once assembled. It’s an open-face-and-ass sandwich. A sloppy ho.
jaybone@lemmy.zip 1 day ago
You could eat it with a fork a knife. Or possibly fold it at the crust?
potoo22@programming.dev 1 day ago
I just woke up and was not ready for this level of philosophy

Sow Crates rolled over in his grave.
Kolanaki@pawb.social 1 day ago
If you stack 2 pizzas on top of each other, you have made a calzone.

Love me a Papa Murphy's stuffed pizza.
RidgeDweller@sh.itjust.works 1 day ago
Sure, but couldn’t your example be called a (huge/round) calzone with extra toppings?
MyNameIsIgglePiggle@sh.itjust.works 1 day ago
Or a pizzagne
Stern@lemmy.world 1 day ago
pizza face down on pizza is a calzone or a sandwich, situationally.
aeronmelon@lemmy.world 1 day ago
If you put lasagna on top of a pizza you get asked to leave the restaurant and your friends stop calling you.
BlueLineBae@midwest.social 1 day ago
They won’t let you order sloppy steaks. But they can’t stop you from ordering a steak and a glass of water!
dumbass@leminal.space 1 day ago
Depends on how you stack them if it’s base to face then yeah, that’s just 2 pizzas, but it’s its face to face then that’s just a round pizza sandwich.
nailbar@sopuli.xyz 1 day ago
And if you put a beef patty in between, you have a burger.
dumbass@leminal.space 1 day ago
Then we dip it in a egg wash, bread it and deep fry it.

“Lasagnagna”

If you eat a sausage or hotdog, it becomes a new sausage as it goes through you.
jaybone@lemmy.zip 1 day ago
Or do you become a different kind of sausage?
Kolanaki@pawb.social 1 day ago
Just more filling for the turd sausage that is always inside you.
CubitOom@infosec.pub 1 day ago
Just don’t read the plaque next to him or you see how much pizza and lasagna would cost you to make at home vs home much you spend at restaurants.
Tja@programming.dev 1 day ago
Deep dish is a soup, Jon Stewart made that very clear.
outhouseperilous@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 days ago
But if you put multiple smaller pizzas on top of one larger pizza, theyre just toppings, and you’re back to one pixza again.
jaybone@lemmy.zip 1 day ago
You could put pizza rolls as toppings on a pizza. That would also be terrible.
outhouseperilous@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 day ago
So fucking awful! Would still be one pizza, though.
And pizza rolls are more of a calzone.
Takapapatapaka@tarte.nuage-libre.fr 2 days ago
I'd say the layer of grilled cheese would technically make a separation between the two lasagna (yes im fun at party)
bananabread@lemmy.zip 1 day ago
That’s just another layer. And yes, I would like to dicuss this further at a party
bjoern_tantau@swg-empire.de 1 day ago
Not the way I make my lasagnas.

steventhedev@lemmy.world 2 days ago
According to starch cube theory, two pizzas stacked on top of each other is a cake, same as lasagna.
Batman@lemmy.world 2 days ago
According to the parks and rec theorem, it is a calzone
oxysis@lemmy.blahaj.zone 1 day ago
Well by definition anywhere where cal are present is a cal zone
BremboTheFourth@piefed.ca 1 day ago
Depends on topping orientation. Top pizza needs to be upside down to be a sandwich/calzone; if it's right side up it's a lasagna
frog@feddit.uk 1 day ago
Wouldn’t that be a sandwich since it is only two layers?
