    Uniball Signo 207

Writes easy and the ink is bold and dries fast. Comfortable enough for having to write 7 pages of client notes every night, even with my arthritic hands.

This is the true answer. The 207/207+ ink is the greatest. The sharpie pens are close though, especially with the weight of the metal barrel.

I’m lamenting the fact that this scenario means I’ve lost all my fountain pens, but I’d go with #5 in a .38

I’ve written on Cross since middle school (1980s)…

When I was a server, I only used Number 3, but it has to be the 0.5 size. 0.7 still smears too much.

    Zebra F301

    • helloworld55@lemm.ee ⁨1⁩ ⁨year⁩ ago

Definitely this one. Simple design and the fine point is so smooth to write with

Was looking for this. I love my pink barrel F-301’s.

    • Dozzi92@lemmy.world ⁨1⁩ ⁨year⁩ ago

Scrolled far too long to find even a mention of Zebra. Uniball is the intro to good pens, but Zebra is where you land.

The only option. I’m 43 and still using the one from middle school.

How did you not manage to lose that

My husband works at an architecture firm. They exclusively use #2 in 3 different colors. My husband has gotten in the habit of putting a few in his pocket during the day while he works and emptying his pockets when he gets home. We have WAY TOO MANY PENS!!! I’ve been bagging them up and giving them away!! They are nice pens tho… very good for drafting/drawing/etc. I just don’t need 300 of them. Beware that the blue ones tend to explode the most.

    • skulblaka@sh.itjust.works ⁨1⁩ ⁨year⁩ ago

I had a pen like that when I was very young, had to be maybe in the 5th grade. It exploded on me because I chewed on the end of it while thinking. Parts of my homework desk remained blue until I graduated high school, I’m lucky my teeth didn’t also.

      source
    • GoodLuckToFriends@lemmy.today ⁨1⁩ ⁨year⁩ ago

Oh my god, the explosions with the black ones are horrible, because you don’t realize until you start to grip and the ink just coats your fingers. I love them, but the horror will live forever in my mind.

Probably 2, 6, or 7. I’ve always loved the V5/V7, but the liquid ink is messy, a bic is a classic for a reason, and the PaperMate flair has been my go-to felt-tip for a long time now. Though, the ultra-fine version is much better for writing than the medium one.

  • sloppychops@lemmy.ca ⁨1⁩ ⁨year⁩ ago

    2, please.

I was always fond of how the 2 pen scratches the paper while writing.

  • KeraKali@lemmy.world ⁨1⁩ ⁨year⁩ ago

Definitely 5, gimme that gel pen every time

  • Peppycito@sh.itjust.works ⁨1⁩ ⁨year⁩ ago

This kind. I like the metal tip.

    • CptEnder@lemmy.world ⁨1⁩ ⁨year⁩ ago

I used to use these a lot before I discovered micro tipped pens, these are great ball point though.

      source
      • Peppycito@sh.itjust.works ⁨1⁩ ⁨year⁩ ago

I like that they mark on metal. And the tip is great for tracing rough edges and rulers.

    • TheFrogThatFlies@lemmy.world ⁨1⁩ ⁨year⁩ ago

      And respective mechanical pencil!

      The apex pen.

  • i_dont_want_to@lemmy.blahaj.zone ⁨1⁩ ⁨year⁩ ago

If I had to choose one of these, 4. (I can’t see a whole lot of detail in the image. Looks like a Uniball.)

But my preference is my Uniball Signo click pen, with micro tip. Love that precision. No cap for me to lose. And I will lose it.

I use 3 at work now after someone gave me one. It’s an awesome pen.

Yeah people here are overlooking the Sharpie pen, it’s quite nice.

      • Veedem@lemmy.world ⁨1⁩ ⁨year⁩ ago

I’ve been a Pilot G2 guy until I was given this Sharpie.

  • EvilBit@lemmy.world ⁨1⁩ ⁨year⁩ ago

If 6 is the Papermate felt tip, then that one. I like the static tip. Otherwise, probably the upstart Sharpie.

if it’s a true bic. knockoffs might not work very well.

I’d pick 7 if it’s a Bic, but it’s definitely n.3 because of the ergonomics
