You can use it to pay a medieval plague doctor that will give you leech therapy. They will need to place the leeches at the base of your cylinder as well as any free hanging olive shaped objects attached to the cylinder to shrink it so your homemade fleshlight falls off-I mean so the m&m tube- I mean the Manny the mammoth toy falls off your dick-I mean ohhhh you touch my tra-la-la

Too lazy to make this into the appropriate meme… use your imagination.
Married 5 years? Not sure what to get? Try a set new set of knives. A set of knives: the traditional way to say “we’re still doing this.” Display a new set of knives in the block on the counter. Touch them. Feel their weight. You will certainly not regret giving a new set of knives.

Can you pull up a bookmarked item to read when you don’t have an active network connection? If yes, that’s a “read it later” service. If no, then that’s why they are useful.
- Comment on Kids are short-circuiting their school-issued Chromebooks for TikTok clout 2 months ago:
In the states I’ve lived in, Junior High and Middle school are both synonymous with grades 6-8
- Comment on Kids are short-circuiting their school-issued Chromebooks for TikTok clout 2 months ago:
That was what I was referring to. I was being a bit hyperbolic, but a year in national service (beyond just the military) in general not a new proposal. Pete Buttigieg suggested it after HS as part of his candidacy during the 2020 democratic primary.
- Comment on Kids are short-circuiting their school-issued Chromebooks for TikTok clout 2 months ago:
That’s fair. In my district your insurance is covered if you qualify for assistance, but intentional damage isn’t included in insurance.
- Comment on Kids are short-circuiting their school-issued Chromebooks for TikTok clout 2 months ago:
Yes they are. These 9th graders are feral though. That realization would require forethought.
Some of these kids should have been sent out to cut trail for a year between HS and Middle School.

- Comment on OMG no please don’t call me. 2 months ago:
Both can be, I have worked phone customer service with zero wait time and long wait times across multiple sectors and some people are straight abusive over the phone even for problems they caused.
- Comment on OMG no please don’t call me. 2 months ago:
One of the myriad reasons phone customer service jobs are horrible, but also good at training you for interacting with horrible people if you can manage it.
- Comment on Google’s dominance on search is declining – for the first time ever! 2 months ago:
To be fair, I don’t know that we don’t block coursera as well but the block I specifically saw was for a course hero. And some of the blocks that we have on are for security reasons over reliability reasons. We have to be hyper cautious about the students leaking any potentially PHI and some of the Google sign in setups are less secure than others.
- Comment on Google’s dominance on search is declining – for the first time ever! 2 months ago:
That’s been my go to since they started. There is/was a challenge using them when we evacuated them a while back with forcing safe search reliability if I recall the reason.
- Comment on Google’s dominance on search is declining – for the first time ever! 2 months ago:
We have a different person that manages our block list so I don’t know the reason for all the blocks. That said, we block www.coursehero.com not www.coursera.org

- Comment on Google’s dominance on search is declining – for the first time ever! 2 months ago:
That is exactly what is happening. They type in the search query on their Chromebook, the results page flashes for a second and then the “this page is blocked” screen comes up saying they were blocked from Reddit, et al. Without them clicking on any search results.
- Comment on Google’s dominance on search is declining – for the first time ever! 2 months ago:
I work in an education setting and in the last month, Google started preloading the contents of other sites directly on the search page. It is wreaking havoc when combined with our blocking tools because kids will do a Google search for something innocuous and the page will immediately get blocked because it tried to load a result from Reddit or coursehero or something else we have blocked.
It’s incredibly frustrating.
