When a base of people can talk in circles for hours about why they don’t believe in proven facts, they have a hard time defending the fact their cult leaders isn’t simply weird as fuck.
- Comment on Why is Kamala Harris being held at such a higher standard than Trump this election? 2 months ago:
Because one is a traitor that attempted to overturn a lawful election result.
No matter what you think of Kamala, supporting Trump is a joke.

My fault entirely. I guess my argument would be that those other corporations also shouldn’t be creating password managers, at least ‘within their ecosystem’.
I believe a password database should preferably be stored locally, and at least in a cloud that is completely separate from your essential account(s) (i.e Proton, Google, Microsoft accounts, etc.) I have no doubt Proton’s implementation is secure, but I think the principle of using it is not ideal.

Unless Proton OS is a consideration, I dont think a browser is a natural progression. There are plenty of private browser options already being developed (and I think the proton extensions cover most conveniences). The only way I’d see a Proton browser as a positive thing is if they went all in on ladybird or some other completely independent browser engine.

I think its redundant and an incredibly bad idea to have my email, vpn, calendar, and cloud provider host my passwords. If I wanted a cloud based password manager, I’d use a standalone tool like Bitwarden. (imo, I realistically think protons implementation in probably just as secure for the average user.)
Either way, I think a password database is too important to store in the cloud, so I use KeePass.

A proton product that isn’t useless? ahem PASS
I like this, and I REALLY hope Proton ignores the fact that a web browser came first in their community poll for their next service / product. That result shocked me, I couldn’t think of a worse (specifically, more redundant) application for them to release / develop.

GrapheneOS’s guided installation is simple enough for anyone to be able to install it IMO.

There is no definitive “human nature”, so I would say it is in some individuals nature to be inhumane.

“Narrowed down to this conflict only”. There. Thats my explanation. Casting a century of genocide aside and focusing only on this conflict is silly.
Also, you’re operating under the assumption this is a war between Israel and Palestine, but Palestine is not a country Israel decided to be at war with. “Palestine” is what remains of the obstacle to Israel’s legitimacy. I

Both Israel and Palestine just race with each other who can check the most boxes in the Geneva Convention rules list. Just leave those 2 to sort this mess out for themselves
Wow.

If I see someone I know (especially someone I know to have issues with self esteem) trying something like a new haircut, or asking a girl out or really anything that presents a social risk, I gain respect for them.
Heed some advice from Nelson Mandela:
I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.

Personally, I would try to realize others might respect you more for confident behavior like trying new hairstyles instead of ridicule you if the hairstyle isn’t the best for a few weeks.

It really is amazing for programming. I gave VS Code(ium) a chance as I hadnt used it in a while, and it feels like a frustrating black box compared to Emacs.
My favorite feature is Emacs being entirely self documenting, it makes it SO much easier to troubleshoot issues, make refinements, or just understand what’s going on in your environment.
Orginally I used Doom Emacs, but, although being wonderful to work in, wasn’t as easily understandable to me. I recommend anyone wanting to start an vanilla Emacs config starts here.
Exemplary youtube playlist by System Crafters that makes creating your emacs config from scratch not only more palatable, but arguably trivial. (At least up to the point he goes in the series).

- Comment on What is the Israel thing going on? 1 year ago:
Ill give you my two cents:
Palestinians are justified in fighting Israel until that occupation is no longer considered a country, however, the Hamas are committing atrocities against civilians, leading many to refer to them as terrorists. The argument for the Hamas (not all Palestinians) is that Israel has committed atrocities against Palestinians for almost a century, while being backed by the most powerful countries in the world, and that retaliation from the Hamas.
Personally, I’m happy to see anyone resisting Israel, and don’t believe any political compromise (although preferable) will cut it except the dissolution of Israel.

True, but I think its more that the United State’s version of capitalism lacks safeguards against corporations influencing government regulation, and that leads to unsustainability.
