One head gets chopped off, two new ones spawn.
It’s always an issue of service. Make it more available. Adjust the price. Increase content availability. It’s not a rocket science problem, it’s just a problem of corporate greed, and law abuse

animeflix wasn’t even the best anime streaming site in my opinion. Sorry it’s gone, but there’s excellent options out there right now.
Please don’t mention any good anime sites, i don’t want it to be taken down due to too many users.
I like aniwave and hasn’t let me down.
Yup Gaben called it, just look at Steam.

HAIL HYDRA
HEIRU HAIDURA!
Except if you’re Nintendo. They somehow managed to kill the emulating sphere.
Wouldn’t go that far… They knocked out yuzu’s money machine but i doubt it’s gone as an emulator and ryujinx exists
But that doesn’t please the shareholders or appease the apparently ever more concerning necessity for infinitely growing profits.
It was a sad period to see one thing that worked so great fragment like this
I thought they were talking about nyaa.si for a second but thankfully not.
50’s gangster nyan cat.
As they continue to make life harder for paying customers more people will stop paying
I don’t disagree, but these weren’t paying customers
My point was that making life harder for non paying customers doesn’t negate the fact that they make life harder for paying customers.
I didnt even know this particular site existed, but who cares? I dun’ been piratin since the days of napster. I ordered shitty cds of DBZ from the internet when amazon was a fucking bookstore. besides, anyone who knows knows how to search for “free media. heck yeah” they do.
I always use these two too lol.
Although aniwave uses the same media uploaded to anix.to
Meanwhile, I just search “watch anime online” on ddg or yandex and check around, while ublock origins does its job and ensures I don’t get harassed by ads and shit clickjack javascript (the ones where clicking anywhere opens the ad). A good pirate never makes a single port his home
Good. Even one less person watching anime is a win for humanity
How dare Japan have their own forms of entertainment!
You realize weebs are losers there too right?
They have plenty of non-anime related entertainment
You sound like you’re great at parties
Yea cause I don’t smell like anime fans
I don’t watch anime, but let everyone watch what they want. Even if they like to watch the “most degenerate” versions of Hentai. I don’t fucking care.
It bleeds into other media
While you hate anime for no reason whatsoever, I hate you for hating something for no reason whatsoever. My hate still makes more sense.
I don’t know if you meant this as a joke but it’s legitimately funny.
I watch anime btw.
You can always find a replacement at theindex.moe
This is the best summary I could come up with:
Thousands of anime fans were shocked Thursday when the popular piracy site Animeflix voluntarily shut down without explaining why, TorrentFreak reported.
“It is with a heavy heart that we announce the closure of Animeflix,” the site’s operators told users in a Discord with 35,000 members.
Although Animeflix operators did not connect the dots for users, TorrentFreak suggested that the piracy site chose to shut down after facing “considerable legal pressure in recent months.”
Then in mid-May, rightsholders—including Netflix, Disney, Universal, Paramount, and Warner Bros.—won an injunction through the High Court of India against several piracy sites, including Animeflix.
On Reddit, some fans also complained after relying exclusively on Animeflix to keep track of where they left off on anime shows that often span hundreds of episodes.
“We hope the joy and excitement of anime continue to brighten your days through other wonderful platforms," Animeflix’s Discord message said.
The original article contains 510 words, the summary contains 147 words. Saved 71%. I’m a bot and I’m open source!
I’ve been using the same anime/manga torrenting site since the mid 2000s and I can’t believe it’s still up. Gonna be a sad day when it finally closes down.
Fuck. I thought they meant kimcartoon. Phew, carry on, carry on.
crunchyroll.com you’re welcome
I used it for a while, until they put some old shows (1990 era) I was in the middle of watching behind a paywall.
I get it for new shows, but I was happily watching old stuff with ads (blocked by ad-block).
They were also down every other week, so I wasn’t going to pay for something I could only use 75% of the time.
Mehh their web player was pretty awful back when I used it and wasn’t worth the subscription.
Hanime.tv is next.

Are they shocked though? It’s getting common for piracy sites to disappear or move to different domains, there are always alternatives
