- Comment on CUDIMM Standard Set to Make Desktop Memory a Bit Smarter and a Lot More Robust 1 week ago:
Well usually yes, but if cpu manufacturers decide to really lean into cramming lots of cores into cpu-s (Like Intel’s big.LITTLE cpus), then we probably will need faster RAM-s, since more core == more memory bandwith demand, and currently this issue has been always resolved by faster RAMs. (Or we could just increase the memory channels)

Not music specific but you could join probably a bigger Discord community around a topic which interests a bunch of young lads. For example, I’m in a VRC community, where I usually chat sometimes (I’m 23, not that old) and DC communities usually offer music channels where you could maybe check what they share.

Hmm, I see. That could explain why there weren’t that many potato bugs some decades ago. Thank you for informing me!

Yeah my grandma had never needed any pesticides until the 90s probably. Now it’s kinda essential now unfortunately.

I think a little bit of marketing can’t hurt, but purely relying on hype marketig probably doesn’t as much, as before, although there will always be people that can be persuaded into preorder by marketing. (Or if you still have a few amounts of studios where you have enough trust in them to preorder)

Yeah probably there are other factors in the play here too. I agree, it’s definitely overkill, but it seems this spam phones tactic is working well for their revenues then.
- Comment on Apple loses top phonemaker spot to Samsung as iPhone shipments drop, research company says 2 months ago:
Woah Apple lost the top spot in a quarter when they don’t release any phones, but Samsung does.

My philosophy is to just focus on 1 or few communities, instead of having a bunch of communities which will lack (more) content, but I hope it works out for you. Well gametheorists has grabbed my attention ngl. ^^

- Comment on Don't tell your AI anything personal, Google warns in new Gemini privacy notice 4 months ago:
The most likely reason for this is how AI model training work. Depending on the model’s complexity, training data size etc, it can enornous amounts of time to finish a training. Probably the initial training must be atleast 2-4 week at Google if but that’s just a huge assumption.
After that they probably train this base model with some newly acquired data (ex: 1 week of data) which won’t take as much time to finish compared to starting from 0 all over again.

Doesn’t work either with both running this before starting/building the container and also while running it. Thanks for the help tho!
- Comment on Radarr: Path: Folder '/data/' is not writable by user 'abc' 5 months ago:
I’m doing rootless most likely, I just use the default Rocky Linux 9 setup with the Container Tools option turned on while the setup process. This didn’t work either for me. Did you start the service in
sudo systemctl
or insystemctl --user
mode? - Comment on Radarr: Path: Folder '/data/' is not writable by user 'abc' 5 months ago:
Okay so I’ve done these steps (it seems rootless podman have been setup by Rocky automatically):
- Get subuid:subgid with /etc/subuid:
privatenoob:100000:65536
2.:Changed ExecStart to this:
ExecStart=podman run --name=radarr -u 100000:65536 -p 7878:7878 -v radarr-config:/config -v /home/privatenoob/media/storage1/Filmek:/data --restart unless-stopped lscr.io/linuxserver/radarr:latest
3.:
podman unshare chown -R 100000:65536 /home/privatenoob/media/storage1/Filmek/
Unfortunately unsharing gave me invalid arguments.
chown: changing ownership of ‘/home/privatenoob/media/storage1/Filmek/’: Invalid argument
I have tried by leaving the -e PUID=1000 parts on but those didn’t work either. Yeah and I’m using systemctl --user.
- Get subuid:subgid with /etc/subuid:

Yeah you’re right. Actually I was just thinking about this streaming space and perhaps switching away from Spotify, over to Tidal but probably it wouldn’t make a big difference to the respected artists I’m listening to.

As far as I recall. YT Music pays even less than Spotify does unfortunately.
