Yeah the war has definitely affected the team a lot, and it’s very admirable they managed to release the game at all. Here’s hoping that with a few bug fixes and patches the game can be a solid entry to the series.

- Comment on Patient gamers, what is your favorite Prince of Persia game and why? 2 weeks ago:
In terms of 3D prince of persias, then I’d say The Sands of Time probably. It’s the most consistent and well-paced.
People love praising Warrior Within but I played it again recently and it doesn’t hold up. Lots of backtracking, lots of confusing camera angles and a frustrating world to get around. Dahaka is very cool though.
I don’t remember Two Thrones enough to comment on it, but I thought it was pretty good at the time.
Prince of Persia 2008 is my 2nd favorite and it still sucks that they never followed up on it. There’s a lot of room for improvement but it was a great entry.

- Comment on Bought a Retroid Pocket Mini 2 weeks ago:
Since it’s running Android, it might not even need Portmaster. You can run Windows games via Winlator. The chip in this thing isn’t bad, so it should be able to run most 2D games no problem
- Comment on Is a Quest 3 really worth it? 2 weeks ago:
Almost every content creator I watch say their VR headsets are collecting dust. Part of that is because there aren’t many good VR games, but also I think there are very few types of games that are fun in VR. They’re just not made for long-term play, you’ll quickly get exhausted in half an hour and want to rest your eyes (or if you’re playing something movement heavy like Beat Saber, rest your body as well).
I tried Skyrim VR, albeit the vanilla version. It sucked. Once you get over the initial hype of “wow, it’s like I’m really there!” you quickly start to realize that VR adds nothing to the experience. It’s the same game, except way clunkier with broken combat and makes you dizzy after some time. Most VR games feel similarly shallow.
I don’t know where you live, but here there are a couple of places where you can try a headset. I would recommend finding a way to try it first before buying.

Even more confusing considering Citra is a well-known 3DS emulator, so you’d think that’s a fork of that
- Comment on Half-Life 2 is currently 100% for its 20th anniversary 2 weeks ago:
Sweeeeeeet! I had HL2 on my ancient Steam account that I lost ages ago, it feels right to have it back in my library all these years later.
The anniversary update sounds tempting, but I think I’ll wait for HL2 RTX before replaying it.

- Comment on Minecraft-like free and open source game VoxeLibre (formerly MineClone2) hits over 500K downloads 2 weeks ago:
Fair warning though: Vintage Story is vveeeeeerrrryyyyyy slow paced and involved. Making a pickaxe for ex requires you to find copper nuggets scattered on the floor, making a mold, heating the copper in a crucible, casting it, then waiting for it to cool.
- Comment on Has Fast Food Gotten Worse, or Am I Just Getting Old? 2 weeks ago:
Brand names have gotten worse, that’s not you. Cost saving measures upon making sizes smaller while still raising prices. I swear, KFC mid-2000’s was amazing compared to the bland oily ones of today.
Local fast food is still really good for me, but I’d just avoid major brands like Mcdonalds. They’ve become synonymous with trash food.

- Comment on I want to feel like a bad-ass wizard 3 weeks ago:
Kingdoms of Amalur has very fun, very flashy combat. The rest of the game is really ehhh, but if you just want to blast magic and have cool skills then it’s a great choice.
- Comment on Ghost of Tsushima - I've heard it's a nice game, but it overstays its welcome. Do you agree? 4 weeks ago:
Yup, but that’s my opinion of most open world games anyways. There’s a lot of Ubisoft-esque content like “free this stronghold” or sidequests that involve you slowly following an NPC and they get old very quickly. The combat also doesn’t evolve that much, so I found myself bored around the halfway point.

- Comment on What is your favorite Halloween older game? 4 weeks ago:
MediEvil. It’s not a horror game, but I always think of it as the game that carries the Halloween feeling the best.

Also the title is so misleading because it acts like it’s missing a vital component when most people really wouldn’t care about alternate covers…
