- Comment on What would stop you from switching to a flip phone (or dumbphone) in 2025? 5 hours ago:
I can very much agree with this. Like getting rid of Instagram and Tiktok has done a lot to help time not disappear in the same way.
- Comment on Proton Mail Suspended Journalist Accounts at Request of Cybersecurity Agency 1 day ago:
I do agree it’s not as pretty as Proton but the encryption once it reaches your account is much better and I feel like they are more upfront about what they are and aren’t. Really my main grype with them is there lack of GPG support.

The fact that you can even be considered for deportation over that is so dumb. That’s a child, like not an adult with adult capacity.
- Comment on Time to bash Americans again 6 days ago:
Yea schools will always side with the bully or just look at the one incident in isolation not as a pattern of abuse.
Also the school system just doesn’t work, like one time I reported a kid for talking about bringing a gun to school and it got turned around to ME threatening to bring a gun to school. Then that was a whole feasco that me and my parents had to deal with.

- Comment on Mastodon says it doesn't 'have the means' to comply with age verification laws 2 weeks ago:
Also states don’t have one company to go after. It is nearly impossible to track down and file court orders for if your lucky non-profits in other countries.
Like I don’t think there are many people that host Mastodon instances that will listen to a court order out of the goodness of there heart.
- Comment on Tailscale addressing concerns over potential enshittification of the platform 2 months ago:
This is why I really wish the “control servers” were selfhostable on the open web. Kind of similar to how you can self host a relay node for Rustdesk.
- Comment on He was a passenger! 2 months ago:
One of the only times I have seen a “customer states” thing be right.
- Comment on Even in space it's possible to get hit by a self-driving Tesla. 2 months ago:
But you see, it will be doing so in a predictable way. Unlike a Tesla that will change its mind at any point.
- Comment on Supreme Court to decide whether ISPs must disconnect users accused of piracy 2 months ago:
The unproven claims is the key part here. Also the point of “terminating an account would punish every user in a household” is important as well.
You can fine someone for piracy if you want. As long as they have the standard legal protections. But cutting access is excessive.
- Comment on $440 Charge For A Wheel Scuff Raises Questions About Hertz's AI Rental Car Damage Scanner 2 months ago:
Cars get damaged, it’s part of USING a GOD DAMN CAR. To me if something is damge that is invisible to a normal human eye and doesn’t impact the function of it, it’s part of renting cars.

From what I’ve heard it’s often better to have a non messy divorce and try to be nice enough for your kids. If you try to fake it, it generally doesn’t work out.
Kids are smarter then many adults seem to think.

Yea I hate when I got killed for something and then right a message about it.

To be fair it will be about as gental as it’s terminal volocity. Which is hard but like not that bad.
- Comment on What is this for? (Wrong answers only) 4 months ago:
We all know pee goes on the floor. But the poops must go in the toilet. This makes the separation much easier.
- Comment on Bluesky has started honoring takedown requests from Turkish government 4 months ago:
That’s so dumb of Bluesky. They should provide ways for poeple to get around it or point to resources that explain how.
I STRONGLY disagree with this move. Once you give into one country it can way to easily lead to others (with more power) also trying.
- Comment on LG TVs’ integrated ads get more personal with tech that analyzes viewer emotions 4 months ago:
If they ever make this a standard feature in all TVs and make it where I can’t just disconnect it from the internet, I will be using old TVs for the rest of my life.
My TV is there to display a visual output. It does not and should not do anything else.
- Comment on Bluesky has started honoring takedown requests from Turkish government 4 months ago:
I don’t get why they listened to the Turkish government. There not (to my understanding) registered there or have any kind of assests there.
