It seems like the consensus is that the stories probably stem from a real guy because that’s deemed more likely than no person existing as a basis for the story, but no, there is not material evidence for jesus christ’s existence
- Comment on Is there any real physical proof that Jesus christ ever existed? 6 days ago:
Where did you find that his goal was to prove Jesus wasn’t who Christians claim to be? From what I’ve read about Lee Strobel, he was sort of an atheist by default and converted when his wife did. He became a pastor and only wrote the Case for Christ more than a decade later

You’ll have to wait for a new generation of graphics cards to actually get 4k@240Hz without DSC, because while the monitor supports it, the only graphics cards that even have DP2.1 right now don’t actually support the required UHBR20

really good point. Sleep on your friend’s couch, get a motel room, sleep in your car in a Walmart parking lot… Just don’t drive when you’re tired

- Comment on launch him anyway 3 months ago:
Yeah it just depends on whether the goal is to launch the child into the sun or just in an orbit with a low periapsis
- Comment on launch him anyway 3 months ago:
It requires energy to shrink an orbit just as it does to grow it. Since we’re launching from Earth, we start with Earth’s orbit around the sun, and we have to burn enough to bring the perihelion of our launched child’s solar orbit to within the sun itself. We could use Venus or Mercury for gravity assists but the angular speed of the orbit does have to be mostly cancelled to hit the sun
- Comment on launch him anyway 3 months ago:
i may be mistaken but I don’t think it can be utilized to descend toward the sun

- Comment on Faster than ever: Wi-Fi 7 standard arrives 5 months ago:
we definitely need to rethink agile and bring back good QA and requirements documentation. But yes with VR specifically, at the resolutions and framerates it requires, video signals must undergo costly and lossy compression to be transmitted wirelessly between PC and HMD, even with wifi 6 (though wifi 6 is much better than previous generations)
- Comment on Faster than ever: Wi-Fi 7 standard arrives 5 months ago:
This will be great for wireless PCVR, where bandwidth is a significant limiting factor even with WiFi 6
