I’m talking about the ones that may have had only one or two seasons but you know deserve better than that.
Full metal alchemist… fma was beautifully done till they ran out of material and had* to “improvise”
FMAB has a rushed, strangely flanderized start and then becomes the masterpiece it is.
Also, the ending felt like they ran out of money
I want one single well executed anime
*because of the profit, of course

Akame ga Kill is a great manga that got an ok anime up until the end, where White Fox decided to make an original ending since they weren’t interested in doing another season.

Tower of God season 2 was seriously terrible.
With High school of the Dead 's story author’s death, I don’t think it will ever come back. Even the manga was cancelled.
Slayers but Gourry isn’t a complete moron? (Iirc that was more Anime only, and LN he was smarter ). I’d even like an expansion of the verse like Lost Universe.

Much of the original soundtrack was recorded by the Warsaw Philharmonic, if I recall correctly, so it’s already had the full orchestra treatment.
Ahh, did not know this. Only thought the movie got the orchestrated treatment. Thank you! Alas, I would still love to see it with a modern animation.

Just watch GquuuX, it even did a reference to it in it’s most recent episode, I hate it so much.
Space Brothers had the first 20 something volumes turned into a 99 episode anime, but in 2014, they caught up to the source material so stopped. It totally deserves a continuation, as there’s another ~20 manga volumes out now.

Imo, pre-2012. I think you could also argue that 2018 or 2020/2021 is the start of the modem era of anime, or even 2006.
