- Comment on Android 11 is the "Windows 7" of Android 3 days ago:
tbh JB 4.1~4.3 was the best. Had real performance improvements over ICS (project butter), KK had some weird stuff like the new sdcard policy.
wish i can still use it, but even firefox ditched support so…
- Comment on Android 11 is the "Windows 7" of Android 3 days ago:
android 11 is more like win10, it has lots of built in bs that can mostly be mitigated. i’d say win7 = android 7~8, and 4.1~4.4 for xp…
i’m still rocking android 11, never upgrading… hopefully i can switch to a linux phone before this gets unusable

- Comment on If you had too, how would go about running a Instagram account? 3 weeks ago:
maybe use a public wifi if you have one available nearby? or a residential proxy, tho it’a bit unethical and has the possibility of being banned.

used android phones are pretty powerful, you may need to adjust graphics quality but it wouldn’t be so noticeable on such small screen imo.

- Comment on PSA: Don't use nextcloud's auto upload on the android app as a backup 5 weeks ago:
this is my first time hearing about borg, is there anything it does that can improve my current setup? from a quick look it seems like it creates its own backup file while rsync works with raw directory structure.
- Comment on PSA: Don't use nextcloud's auto upload on the android app as a backup 5 weeks ago:
i just have a simple shell script that uses rsync to upload my files to a server and have a termux shortcut on the homescreen, i just press it once in a few days

- Comment on When "AI" content becomes indistinguishable from human-made content, is there, philosophically speaking, any meaningful differences between the two? 2 months ago:
is it? i mean it’s possible for ‘ai’ to create a unique combination of stuff it was ‘trained on’ due to its randomness. imo the ‘idea’ just depends on human interpretation
