I’m talking about the ones that may have had only one or two seasons but you know deserve better than that.
My answer to this used to be Panty + Stocking, but they have a new season coming out on my birthday!
I guess now my pick is 009-1. I really love a good East vs West rivalry, and having a femme James Bond doing espionage in a world where the Soviets never collapsed really hit a lot of notes. I gets pretty weird towards the end, and I wish they had another season to go even weirder.
Akashic Records of Bastard Magic Instructor – i remember something big started to happen at the end of season, so i wish there was a second season. Also can mention: The Ones Within.
Baccano! was really good, I wish it hadn’t ended where it did

Also, “Gangsta.” did not deserve what happened to it. Same for “So I’m a Spider so What?”, although it’s rather recent.
And why do all the titles that come to mind have freakin punctuation in them?
I want Dragon Half to get a full run. Shit was hilarious.
But . . . but that would put the “I don’t care about series continuity” joke in the second OAV at risk!

Hmmm, a number of very weird ones come to mind first…
Maybe because I had too much time to watch obscure stuff back then, and I love me some rare animus. Then again, they all weren’t all that good, probably why they only had one season. And it’s all female-led sci-fi I just noticed, shows my preferences…

Also Samurai Pizza Cats, not sure if the magic of the dub can be recaptured though.
If I can choose a manga that never finished and deserves both a revival and an anime?
Zombie Powder
I’d like to see Pumpkin Scissors and Zipang completed up to the ends of their respective manga (although Zipang was controversial enough that it might be really difficult to get it made). Likewise, Kamisama no Inai Nichiyoubi up to the end of the light novel series. And, just as an extra, it would be nice to see the last arc or two of Ghost Hunt make it to anime, although that would have to be an OAV as I’m pretty sure it would make six episodes max.
I feel like any I’d mention have already been done and I never bothered to watch it.
07 ghost. An interesting anime with a fully fleshed out Manga.
It has a fantastic Gregorian esc future world aesthetic with grim reapers. One main original one that serves the role of the main antagonist character. And 7 others that oppose him known as the 7 ghosts that mainly serve as side characters.
has a really solid soundtrack that I think fits it’s anime well
Has a really enjoyable side character / mentor for the MC character with a Jiriya each love for women.
