Not sure on what the inputs are, but basically bioreactors that have bacteria that are doing the same processes you’d get milk from otherwise. I’ve done ice cream and protein powder made from companies that used perfect day foods’ reactor milk. Actually was a big fan of the vegan whey protein powder, but that company died at some point

Not JUST before release, that’s how you get entirely missing textures, but you’re not wrong.

I will say, placeholder SHOULD be more than basic featureless textures on cubes so it can’t make it to a playtest without knowing about it. You know, like this. Placeholder kittens are always distinct, in my book. Plus if something subtly gets through, players will think it’s a hilarious easter egg
- Comment on ‘Doom: The Dark Ages’ DRM Is Locking Out Linux Users Who Bought the Game 2 days ago:
It wouldn’t astonish me if this were a semi-deliberate act by microsoft. While they’re trying very hard to expand to every platform, non-windows pcs seem to be the exception. Linux and OSX have the game gamepass support as your phone.

It is illegal in the EU. This was announced specifically for the US
- Comment on Oblivion remake is... really making it apparent how outdated Bethesda is in its approach to making games 2 weeks ago:
I don’t think I agree on them going all in for TES6, I think oblivion and the upcoming fallout 3 remake (confirmed by court docs ages ago) are probably going to lean into monetized mods, just like skyrim has been for the last decade. Skyrim’s creation club made it a pseudo live service game, where they can maintain bethesdas tiny team size (Relative to most AAA devs) and still get ongoing payout for a decade or more, letting players generate new content to buy into. Optimistically this means they’ll have plenty of funding for TES6 to hire some decent writing staff and put together something great that’s presumably been at least thought about the last 14 years since Skyrim, but it might just be going into Microsoft’s coffers.

I know the guy who made this! He distributed it among acquaintances and I lost 6 hours of my life going “this is too much, but I can’t stop”
- Comment on Do you dislike your dependency on Android? To the rescue comes Mobile Linux "PostmarketOS" - Funded via Donations, Focus on Reliabilty for 2025 1 month ago:
Given that Win10 is getting deprecated this year and Win11 has specific hardware requirements, I think 2025 could be the year of the linux PC. I’ll be curious to see how massive corporations for which this would mean millions or billions in hardware upgrades to stick with Win will square that circle.

Then maybe it’s worth bringing up their recent behavior as a patent troll. Regardless of what you think of palworld, nintendo is suing them based on patents that were filed AFTER palworld was announced, or even released in some cases, and has gone on to follow the patent troll playbook beat for beat. Recently they’ve started putting in more baffling patents as ammo against companies seen as threats, such as patenting squeenix’s “HD2D” art style, or, in an extreme, but recent example, patenting “a character standing on top of a vehicle and moving with that vehicle”
