Yeah I couldn’t focus on modern games because of anxiety last night, so I fired up DOSbox and had a good time with doom and chopper commando

I’m using like 30 block lists with over 1,900,000 blocked domains. There is a site that had a bunch of blocklists and I just grabbed most of them
- Comment on Your TV Is Spying On You 3 days ago:
I think it’s my LG TV. But it has its own service that I also block.
Here is the service from xfinity that I’m talking about. It’s relatively new to my network and has increased my blocked percentage by a lot. Mind you, I have 1,900,000+ domains on my blocklist
- Comment on Your TV Is Spying On You 3 days ago:
So does your isp, and uses that for targeted ads. My pihole is constantly blocking a domain ran by xfinity that collects data for their targeted ad service

Gantz. I really love that idea of the dead world on the other side of our reality.

This is why I’ve switched back to the old internet. Chat like irc/matrix for social interaction. RSS for information. And webrings for browsing the personal garden websites that used to constitute the internet before social media took over. It’s been great.
The good internet magazine has been writing about this and is my inspiration
As well as the internet history podcast.

Omg I owned untold legends when I bought my psp at release. I loved that game but my little brother destroyed my psp like a month after I bought it with my first job. I could never remember the game’s name

People really trust it? Like it’s been so wrong on things for me, I automatically skip to search results past it. Why bother anymore

I really need to try to play it. My computer lab at school growing up was lacking. We had Oregon trail, chopper commando, etc.
I haven’t played a ton of old games besides doom, Age of empires, etc.
Although I played Warcraft and original counterstrike at a pc bong once.
My main experience with older pc games is like 2002-2007, when I finally was able to save and buy my own PC.

I’m guessing yeah, unless they’re more costly than the PS1 because it can handle that well. I just haven’t messed with shaders much. I found this green one and kinda stuck with it. I need to do more exploring with it because I’ve had it for about 4 years now. I originally had a pi zero 1W in it, but I upgraded when the 2 came out.
I think the newest version of the case can take the pi compute module so you might have even more power with that

I don’t know, I got it for $2 at a thrift shop this weekend. It’s a compaq for sure. I got it to go with my early 90s IBM mouse. I got so excited I forgot to research it. I will definitely be doing that after work

It’s a case for a raspberry pi zero 2. It’s the retroflag GPIO case.
It runs full Linux/retropie that you have to install and set up.
The new version can use a dock for your TV

Reading content. I’m more of a lurker compared to most users.

But why do we need interactive crap for everything. Comments and etc for articles are the worst. Not everybody needs to hear you, sometimes you’ve just gotta take in information and process it.
Like I literally Maintain my own fleet of apps that give me just the article body images, in a sorted feed. No ads. No links. Nothing. Even the links to other articles, etc in the middle of an article is too much. I hate that shit. Modern web page design is garbage and unreadable.
I don’t need to know stacy from North Dakota’s thoughts on an article because 99% of the time it’s toxic anyways. Or misinformed.

I think I wrote this. This is my philosophy for how the web should be. Social media shouldn’t be the main Highway of the web. And the internet should be more of a place to visit, not an always there presence.

Speaking of which, I just did a fresh install of retropie for the first time since 2023 and am sad to see there are AI features in retroarch turned on by default. Wtf. I’m playing games on a pi zero. What do I need AI for?

I don’t see the point of compressing the games. They’re so small (except my 300 gig psx collection) that I can fit every game from Atari- Gameboy advance on an 32 gb sd card + OS and a couple psx games. The internet thing kind of sucks, but I also don’t want to store all that data on my device like my pi.

There is a pattern to which teleport guy to talk to in the right order. I can never remember it and it’s always the most frustrating part.

Yeah I would never harm a beloved Gameboy. I also collect gameboys and their games. I restore them
