I’m watching Inuyasha and recently finished Bleach movie 3. They’re both action shounen (like Naruto), but I liked Inuyasha much better. I think I know why: Inuyasha’s story dives into interpersonal relationships more than the stereotypical nakama-bonds in Bleach and Naruto.
Maybe it’s just me no longer a teenager, but I appreciate the nakama-bonds in CGDCT anime more.

Comments like these get in my nerves. God forbid I can’t write grammatically-correct and concisely-formatted anything because AI is trained on human work that is precisely that. Funnily enough, I have that reflex to move on if they’re written like that… but I have to consider that maybe, the format is very digestible to my reading comprehension.
I understand if you disagree. I just feel like I’m in a tiny tiny minority with this opinion, and therefore, I’m judge that my opinion is wrong.

Love Through a Prism: it’s Netflix-produced, so it’s a batch release. Set in the Edwardian era and structured like a Taisho romance. Screenwriting is serviceable, but the backgrounds are gorgeous and fits the art theme. Also a bonus that they’ve got a proper London-based English dub cast for maximum immersion.

There is not much drama in the first episode (unless you consider “will the pasta sauce stain come off” as one)
Then you haven’t truly laundered clothes. Those (and coffee stains) can be a pain to remove if you don’t act quickly enough or have done it correctly.

Summer 2025 was a season for the ages. I doubt we’ll see something like this for a long time. The most recent prior to that was Winter 2018.
Takopi’s Original Sin: They maximized the heck out of the medium and delivered six episodes of a complex and emotional story. I may not rewatch it again, but this is my new #1 overall anime.
The Fragrant Flower Blooms With Dignity: At the end of it all, this one delivered what I thought it could from the moment I saw the announcement poster (although the final episode carried it hard). This is where I also realized I like Kuroki Miyuki’s directional style. Cloverworks is one of the best studios out there, and within Cloverworks, Miuyki and her staff form the best team.
Other 10s in that season: Dandadan S2 (utterly consistent) and My Dress Up Darling S2 (a great step-up from S1)
