this is the part that really baffles me, though I guess I can’t expect much from the class that seems to be literally incapable of foresight.
Like say AI actually does get there. Some company is able to crack human consciousness and we get truly intelligent AI, good enough to replace your workforce with… that AI isn’t going to be free. It’s going to be a monthly fee for your business. and then when you’re fully reliant on AI, when skilled labor is simply too difficult to cultivate any further, it’s going to inevitably enshittify. These corpos will end up slaves to the AI company.
It’s like they fundamentally cannot see that they are giving up control. They’re so fucking stupid.

counterpoint, sometimes the best gear has terrible art design. looking at you t1 Druid set or even worse, sometimes the mathematically bis list means wearing a hodge podge of different sets to activate specific set bonuses or maximize one particular stat.
You’re effectively asking the art design and game design teams to line up and hit 100% of the time, which just isn’t feasible. Transmog is the bandaid for all the times one or both teams miss.

The future is coming whether we fight it or not. High schoolers fuckin love AI slop. Eventually, all of us who remembered the old days of human created media will die, and the people who grew up with slop being the only thing we know will take our place, and our societal standards will lower more and more.

probably won’t be able to find out how your own brain is structured without getting a scan, but your local university neuroscience lab might be interested in a free test subject and would give you a scan in exchange for studying your brain.

it’s a bit of a “chicken and egg” problem, but yes studies show that conservatives typically have an overactive amygdala. now, is it overactive because they’re conservative, or are they conservative because it’s overactive? hard to say.
- Comment on 40% of teenage boys believe women lie about domestic and sexual violence: new research 2 months ago:
yeah let’s just conveniently ignore the part where nearly the same number of adolescent girls also think violence should be used to oppose feminism. That part is very interesting, and a reason why this research is important.
- Comment on Well, that looks like it could be a Fallout: New Vegas remaster tease from a Fallout 76 support studio 2 months ago:
sorry did I miss an announcement that Fallout 3 is getting a remaster?
New Vegas is the better game, sure, but 3 is really showing it’s age and I’ve had issues getting it running stable on modern hardware. New Vegas is no spring chicken, but I’d say it generally runs better. Are we just doing a remaster to try and capitalize on the TV show hype?

I don’t actually think you need to use the third party launcher if you buy through Steam. At the very least, D4 doesn’t require it.
Still will need a Battlenet account, but if you’re buying D2 I imagine you’d have one, even if it was 25 years old. Is there anyone who’d seriously check out this game who has never heard of Diablo before?

There’s definitely a contingent of Oda’s angels, and their proselytizing has been growing louder and louder. I think part of it has to do with the Live-Action making the series more popular in the West.
That being said, I heavily agree with your take. It’s the kinda thing that’s pretty easy to get sucked into watching, and then you’re cursed into watching more than a thousand episodes.
- Comment on Crunchyroll is Officially Ending Its Free Ad-Supported Streaming Service on December 31, 2025 5 months ago:
Correct.
The new Crunchyroll subs are not good. I think my favorite example of terrible translations so far was the latest season of Dr. Stone changing the main character’s catchphrase “this is exhilarating” to “this is tempting.”
The multi-million dollar corporation just doesn’t care.

Sometimes, I wanna watch something super fast-paced and flashy that really keeps my brain engaged. and sometimes, I just wanna get really high and count how many unique frames Inuyasha actually has in a single episode.
- Comment on [deleted] 8 months ago:
Kinda surprised by this take, because IMO the biggest strength of the new anime I’ve been watching is that the pacing is much, much better. I’m often blown away by how much is packed into each episode of something like DanDaDan, Gachiakuta, or Sakamoto Days. Even something that I’d consider a little slow, like parts of Solo Leveling or Kaiju Number Eight, still blow older anime like Naruto or One Piece out of the water.

I know the community name is NoStupidQuestions but, c’mon. Did you seriously think a dramatized movie designed to make known racist Liam Neeson look like a badass would be an accurate portrayal of real life?

Doesn’t matter, it’s something his Dem predecessor did, so it’s gotta go.

It’s starting off with a lot of being 'eepy and bedrotting, probably until 10 or 11 am. Once I finally feel like getting out of bed, I’d go out to a really nice local cafe with a laptop, have tea and a light breakfast while working on fielding emails/calling clients/whatever admin is necessary for the business that makes me millions. After maybe four hours of working and sipping tea, I’d take an early break, and text my boytoy to see if he wants to see a movie tonight. I’d want to go to a trendy art-house theater and watch something deep and thought-provoking, just to be amused at dinner afterward as the man attempts to engage in thoughtful conversation about what we saw. I’d bring him back home, destroy his body and subjugate his soul, and then send him back home before midnight so I can bedrot alone for another hour.

Is this like a ‘13 Going on 30’ situation, where I am waking up this Friday morning suddenly in the body of this 30 year old woman? Or have I been this woman the whole time, and I’m just waking up to a normal Friday morning in my life? Final clarifying question, is it still Valentines Day in this scenario, or is it an unrelated Friday morning?
My answer will change drastically depending on the details of this scenario.

This comment really doesn’t help your case. The race is notable because minorities in the U.S. have not engaged in this sort of behavior against us. I imagine it’s because they’re more used to the law being antagonistic against them, or because they come from other countries like OP where the law isn’t traditionally threatened in such a frivolous manner. I’m calling out a very specific kind of American, which I think anyone whose worked customer service in the U.S. knows very well.
- Comment on [deleted] 1 year ago:
I work at a company that often gets threatened to be sued by entitled white people. The important thing to remember is that these dumbass Americans have no idea how their legal system works.
What typically happens, in my experience, is an entitled white dumbass takes issue with a rule or requirement they were told but ignored. They’ll make a big grandstanding show of threatening the lawsuit, because they think if they look scary enough you’ll give them whatever they wanted. Then they’ll get to the lawyers, who without fail will explain to them how they have no legal grounds for a case. Sometimes, if the dumbass is exceptionally entitled, they’ll even shop around a few law firms trying to find anyone to take the case. Eventually, we just stop hearing about these people, because they give up on trying to sue us. They’re all talk and no bite.
