- Comment on Valve dropped that Steam Machine Companion Cube case down the legal incinerator after its makers neglected to get their permission 4 days ago:
well, there’s a pretty big difference between a mod and a manufactured product for people to buy. They also did ask for permission before actually selling it, which is an important step
- Comment on What are you all buying during the Steam summer sale? 1 week ago:
staring at Don’t Stop Girlypop and trying to will $15 into my bank acct by sheer hopes and dreams
- Comment on Despite investors moaning that Elden Ring's success hasn't been milked hard enough financially, FromSoftware parent company's CEO has kept his job 1 week ago:
They cranked out an online live-service-ish game and are making a movie, how much more do these greedy fucks want? Elden Ring gatcha? Investors are a plague on humanity
- Comment on The 2000 election in a nutshell 1 week ago:
ig but the meme is about Americans voting against their best interests, and the point is that a majority of them did in enough of the country such that the election came down to a single state.
It’s just wild to see people always putting 100% of the blame on the SC and not realizing Americans are also just really incredibly awful at selecting their leaders. In a sane and just world, the 2000 election would not have even been close.

I’ll never forgive the techbros for fucking over crypto so hard. You’re absolutely right that examples like these are a great reason why payment systems not bound by nations or corporations are good and important, but nobody is going to care anymore because they just see crypto as a scam.
- Comment on "We have to have free human expression in some capacity": Patreon CEO shares frustrations about getting adult content past payment processors 1 week ago:
small correction: the credit card companies aren’t anything other than fucking cowards. They don’t actually give a shit, but there’s a bunch of weird Christian fundamentalist groups across the world who have realized they can put pressure on these companies by threatening them with frivolous lawsuits, and the credit card companies have decided it’s easier and cheaper for them to placate these lunatics.
- Comment on You wrote the history book vs You were in the history book 1 week ago:
I mean, as always it depends on which Superman we’re talking about. I’ve seen some depictions that treat the super-hearing more like a curse. Could you maintain your apathy if you could hear every pained scream and every cry for help in your city?
Not to mention, some depictions have him on the level of a god where you certainly could do whatever the hell you wanted, whereas others have him a lot weaker and closer to something that the world could defeat if he really became a problem. I don’t think I’d want to take on the world if I knew a nuclear arsenal could still take me out.
- Comment on The 2000 election in a nutshell 1 week ago:
While the 2000 election was undeniably stolen, it’s kinda hard to argue the people voted for Gore. The reason the Supreme Court was able to declare Bush the winner was because the election was close enough to be decided by a single state. Gore only ended up receiving like 50k votes total more than Bush. The meme is still accurate and Americans are still generally idiots.
- Comment on Anyone have one or two anime that they watched and were surprised it wasn’t more popular? 3 weeks ago:
Moriarty The Patriot: genuinely blows my mind that this one isn’t more well known. Sherlock yaoi + murdering rich bastards feels like such a slam dunk, and despite delivering plenty on both I don’t think I’ve ever seen a thing about this anime.
Blood Blockade Battlefront: This one is honestly just okay, but the animation is solid and the VAs have some pedigree. Idk if it just came out at a bad time or if people didn’t vibe with some of the episode plots, but it always surprised me that it only managed two seasons and then kinda faded out completely.
- Comment on Dragon's Dogma 2 is getting a frosty Dark Arisen expansion, plus two big updates that fix some of the things you moaned about back in 2024 3 weeks ago:
It’s all I ever wanted; more Dragon’s Dogma 2. I guess the QoL changes are cool too.
- Comment on 7 Forgotten 2000s Anime With Better Worldbuilding Than Most Isekai 3 weeks ago:
Hellsing Ultimate isn’t even really doing very much original worldbuilding. It retreads Helsing (2001) but adds Nazis and Klansmen. Yeah really incredible work.
- Comment on Warriors in Dark Souls 2 have such a lame mid-game compared to mages 4 weeks ago:
Well, there’s no reason for you to feel like mages have all the fun on the sidelines. If you’re all the way to Drangleic Castle, you should have access to a Soul Vessel and can freely respec to an Int build if you’d like to try it. Just bring the vessel back to the witches from the start of the game and swap over

- Comment on [Episode] Daemons of the Shadow Realm • Yomi no Tsugai - Episode 7 discussion 1 month ago:
I think if we’re going to get any illumination as to why the Higashi have taken this route, it’s going to have to come from the parents. Maybe they were both in the know, or figured something out. Maybe there’s some true darkness at the Higashi core. I mean, there’s eventually going to need to be something justifying Asa’s massacre if we’re ever meant to take her seriously as a sympathetic character, right?
- Comment on [Episode] Daemons of the Shadow Realm • Yomi no Tsugai - Episode 7 discussion 1 month ago:
Yeah it’s a pretty baffling plan from Higashi Village. It seems like they were trying to engineer situations where the twins get murdered so that they could awaken their powers but…why do that? why do it in such a hostile way? you’ve been generally successful at indoctrinating them, just don’t reveal that returning doesn’t have a 100% success rate and convince them it’s their destiny or w/e, maybe train them a little bit as well.
Higashi’s motivations just seem pointlessly evil for the sake of being evil. If the goal was to control two superpowered twins, I feel like there was a much more elegant solution.

there is no second season of Psycho-Pass :)
- Comment on Every anime ever… 5 months ago:
There’s definitely a contingent of Oda’s angels, and their proselytizing has been growing louder and louder. I think part of it has to do with the Live-Action making the series more popular in the West.
That being said, I heavily agree with your take. It’s the kinda thing that’s pretty easy to get sucked into watching, and then you’re cursed into watching more than a thousand episodes.
- Comment on Crunchyroll is Officially Ending Its Free Ad-Supported Streaming Service on December 31, 2025 6 months ago:
Correct.
The new Crunchyroll subs are not good. I think my favorite example of terrible translations so far was the latest season of Dr. Stone changing the main character’s catchphrase “this is exhilarating” to “this is tempting.”
The multi-million dollar corporation just doesn’t care.
