  I didn’t really care for this arc. It felt like an obvious attempt to make Ameku more sympathetic, rather than make an interesting story.

  While a weird case, the title is a little misleading. It implies fanmade goods, but she bought counterfeit keychains and resold them (for higher prices).

  I think Monogatari series is a classic for this: broadcast vs novel vs chronological. I’d argue Fate as well. Doing Zero before the Stay Night trilogy gives a different vibe to some of the plotlines than after (dramatic irony vs mystery).

  Surprisingly, my local cinema was showing AoT again, but this time in one of the better rooms. So I went again since the other experience wasn’t very good. Very glad that I did. I was able to immerse myself much better this time because the sound didn’t sound like it came from a big TV speaker anymore. A little weird to do the bad room first and then the good one, since most’ll have seen it already.

  Besides that, I’ve dropped Guild Receptionist. The gimmick has gotten stale for and the plot is not doing it for me. Anime Dr. House also isn’t doing too hot. Animation quality has dropped significantly and the story’s a bit all over the place. Dr. Stone, Apothecary Diaries and Bureaucrat Villainess are still my top picks (not in that order). The rest of what I’m watching is fine. I’m still meaning to pick up Flower and Asura and continue Re:Zero.

  I mean, they did say in an earlier chapter (I just checked: chapter 22) that he wasn’t just a teacher and there to “monitor in a special advisory capacity” as a post. So, that he isn’t a normal teacher is pretty much already known.

  Is it just the covers because they are images? If that’s it, I could make a rule that image posts need the [Art] tag. I don’t have auto-expand media turned on, so it’s not something that I have had issues with.

  It’s more that there’s a whole lot of consecutive posts I’m not interested in, which pushes down the actual manga posts. I suppose turning off auto expand would make that a little less annoying.

  Out of curiosity, what frontend/app are you using that allows tags like that. It isn’t included in the default lemmy-ui.

  Yea, so that was just an assumption on my end. There are no custom tags for me either. Whoops

  Would it be a good idea to give posts that only share a new or upcoming volume cover a specific tag? I don’t really care for the occassional cover spam, since it clogs up my feed. Having a specific tag would help clean it up for those that don’t care to see it.

  Why on earth would you abolish an entire department because of a lawsuit for misdiagnosis, for which other doctors said it wasn’t a misdiagnosis?? Isn’t that a cut and dry case? I get that Japan has a saving face culture, but even here that doesn’t make sense.

  Spent most time rewatching AoT last week because The Last Attack was in my local filmtheater. It’s still a great time. Season 3 Part 2 remains my favourite.

  Sadly the room the film was in had pretty bad audio, so I couldn’t enjoy it as much as I’d have liked, but oh well.

  I’m really late with this, but I agree. It was quite fun. Pretty disappointed that it ended here though. This entire thing was building up to not getting divorced and exiled in the academy. There’s no pay off. Feels like a ‘read the LN’ ending.

  The 1st is a romcom about 2 office couples who are also otaku. The chemistry between the characters is amazing.

  The 2nd is a nice and comfy read.

  The 3rd follows a middle school couple where one is a witch. The initial premise sounds dodgy, but it’s actually not.

  The rest are by Yamada Kintetsu. Also adult romances. They’re absolutely brilliant at writing sensible characters and rarely use the stereotypical tropes.

  The decentralized nature of Lemmy is hardly the reason I’m using it and I think I’m not remotely alone in this. In fact, I think it has a lot of downsides, particularly in regards to usability.
