Yeah, I won’t continue with this anime because of that.

Not like intentionally crying sad, more like in a pitiful/pathetic way. Most comedic moments depend on jokes about actual addicts in frankly deplorable situations and some kind of substance abuse and that’s very uncomfortable to me.

I fully get it’s exaggerated and I’m probably looking too much into it, but it feels like the show is making fun of addicts. Not just smoking, but also drugs. So like, sad that they had to stoop to this level.

Isn’t it only divisive for people that watched the original? Those of us who watched the 1995 movie are very much biased here.

Oh shit. The manga is pretty wild, so definitely curious about the adaptation

This trope drives me insane in generic isekai. The only thing they bring from their world is food. Always food. Those types of isekai are so unoriginal they even copy these inconsequential things.

Big fan of the anime, waiting for a good sale on the remaster VN and used to be a big fan of FGO (still am storywise, but not the actual game part). Not sure if a Fate community is necessary (I wouldn’t be very interested) or if it’s even a good idea. The federation stuff can make niche communities pretty hard to find, so it’d be hard to gain traction.

Bit of a down week for me last week, but Dandadan’s latest ep was really good.

Dandadan’s main charm points for me are the chemistry between the 2 MCs and its style. On the surface, I guess JJK and Dandadan are somewhat comparable, but in execution totally not. I dropped JJK at S2, similar reasons to you but I couldn’t get to the end, but am enjoying the hell out of this one.
