Sure! Here’s another ad 😊 - Comment on 1 week ago:
This wouldn’t be a problem if libraries didn’t frequently make breaking changes to their api.
“Move fast and break things” is for startups with no userbase, not libraries with millions of users.

Nah, windows 10 was still sluggish spyware/adware.
I would only ever consider switching back to windows if they updated windows 7 with the latest kernel/security updates.
No apps, ads, ai, or shitty UI frameworks.
A functioning offline-only search, a cohesive/responsive UI, and control over if/when updates get installed.

The context is, people around the world stick these (googly eyes) onto things to make them look ‘alive’.
The glue is usually weak, so they can be removed easily, making this more of a comedic form of vandalism rather than destructive vandalism. It has nothing to do with the horrible shit happening in the USA.

Most public companies and governments focus entirely on short term wins with zero consideration for the future.
Microslop is no different. - Comment on Switch 2 Sales Reportedly Struggled Over The Christmas Period 4 weeks ago:
Better performance and new exclusives.
I’m waiting until they get cheap on the second-hand markets before even considering buying one.

All but the steamdeck, because there’s no console exclusives any more?

The poo particles fly out of the bowl, into the hallway, curve into the bathroom, and then land on your toothbrush?

It might really bring some change.

No no no you see, they’re using rust, which is a ‘safe’ language. That means it’s not possible to have security issues…

In theory.
But there’s no doubt all their tests will also be shat out from an LLM. - Comment on RAM prices soar, but popular Windows 11 apps are using more RAM due to Electron, Web components 2 months ago:
No thanks. Any software that has AI integration as one of its main selling points is shitware imo.

I don’t think I know anyone who has been excited for a single microsoft product in the last ~15 years. It’s never “wow, that’s cool”, it’s “I wonder how they fucked it up this time”.
